This one he doesn't recognize. Wading through the whole roster proves taxing and it's rare for him to always pull who he needs. This time, chance grants him someone unrelated to the councilman or his plans. Just a meandering soul caught up in the greedy vice grip of his indiscriminate summon.

The MISTY TERRAIN is dashed by his own dispel. Glitter cakes his footsteps and he ventures deeper into the Safari Zone. Only the heavy thud of his Heatran keeps him company, kept on his toes by the constant sizzle of its faintly glowing hooves against wet mud.

It's an attack unheard of but in the face of Heatran's biological makeup it becomes possible. A more intense LAVA PLUME spews from the Pokemon's gated jaws. The way the heat whirls around the Buneary threatens to cook it alive. When it seems to pass out from the sheer heat, Fernando throws his safari ball, impressed by the Pokemon's display.

"Good job," he whispers, keeping his distance from the walking furnace.

They've yet to curate a proper Pokedex entry for the Pokemon but they're common place enough in the wake of their Adventours for some common behavior to be documented. A preliminary moveset has been published and that's what Fernando references. "EARTH POWER."

The way the earth bends is a testament to the Heatran's prowess. Fernando stares at the Duskull as its trapped between multiple pillars, left for capture, helpless against the geoformed cage.

He's caught in his own observation when the Heatran takes the initiative to continue its rampage. While it obeys his orders to a degree, it's still feral. Not unlike its brethren who laid siege to those that invaded the underground, this one proves more territorial than not.

The way it charges and stomps out the Dedenne proves too quick for Fernando to interject. He simply snags the Pokemon out of the Heatran's way with a Pokeball. It's battered and bruised body can't hope to stand up to the Pokemon's superior weight.

It appears potent enough just from a live demonstration. But how does it fare against an inopportune type match-up? Good enough apparently. What the fire fails to burn through leaves smoldering embers in its wake. The way the brush is left alit erodes at the Drampa's stamina as the heat sets in. Exhaustion piles up as the Pokemon ends up coughing at the presence of smoke.

Fernando catches this one too.
