She had been prepared to run. Hoping that the man would think it was just a kid playing behind them. Though his words caught her off guard, Fay wasn't expecting an invitation. Narrowing her eyes, Fay questioned his motives. Not understanding why he would suddenly invite her to sit down. She began to wrap her head around the possibilities. In the end she gave up, walking towards the bench the man had sat at. She didn't sit down. Fay stood a few feet from the man's right. Still being cautious.

She found it strange. The unnerving calmness the older man displayed. She found it very strange and viewed it as a threat. Fay figured that the man knew that she had been approaching before she even made her mistake. So why wasn't he angry? Finally breaking her silence, she looked his way but didn't meet eye contact. Instead her gaze fell to the floor. ".... What.." Was the only word she uttered under a annoyed whisper.

She realized that she had been sitting by him, if he said the wrong thing she would quickly take off. She was already embarrassed by her actions. The last thing she wanted for the man to see was her crying. She quickly wiped away the tears that filled her eyes and glanced back at the dark sky. Not meeting eye contact. Fay was pleased at the sound of the mans name, it had a song like feel to it. Mellow and peaceful. "Fay.." She quietly mumbled. Pulling her legs up to the bench she wrapped her arms around her knees as she continued to watch the fireworks. Feeling annoyed at the mans question, she simply stay silent for the time being. The only sound coming from the fireworks.

The girl let out a small sigh, "I have no home to go back to anyway." She muttered angrily. She knew she couldn't return, she decided to go down this dishonorable path. She didn't intend to complain about it - she was going to live it with out complaint, she was determined to.

Fay perked up at the sound of food. Though she was to prideful to admit herself. Remaining silent, the sound of her stomach rumbling answered Ji-Hoons question. She quickly averted her eyes, clasping her hands against her stomach. A vain attempt to try and stop the noise. Sighing she also got up from the bench.

Fay was curious to know why Ji-Hoon looked so frail, and carefully watched the way he walked. From his looks he looked to be young and found it strange. She figured that a terminal disease was the main cause of the mans frailness. As people began to gather Fay began to feel uncomfortable. She wasn't one to enjoy crowds. She inched closer towards Ji-Hoon completely oblivious that she had now been right besides him. With the slight bump from a lively child Fay found herself quickly clinging onto his arm.

It took her a moment to realize what she had done, and just as quick as she held onto him for protection - she let go of his arm. A blush amounting a storm onto her small face. She hoped that he would pretend that didn't happen or being very optimistic, didn't notice it at all.

She was glad that he seemed to not have noticed, or he pretended to not notice. Either way it saved Fay from the embarrassment. She remained near to Ji-Hoon, glancing at the menu with squinted eyes. She didn't really know what a corn dog was since she mainly just ate whatever she could find in forests or rivers. Taking a few moments to decide, she finally chose just a regular corn dog - figuring that they would all taste the same and it looked to be the cheapest option listed in the limited menu.  ".. That one.. please." She pointed at it's picture, her voice still being a hushed whisper.

She wasn't really expecting him to purchase her food, though if he did she would be happy. As they waited for the worker to make their order, her eyes went back towards the sky. Watching the fireworks bloom into life silently, she saw that they were mysterious. Fay of course knew what fireworks were, what she didn't understand was how people were able to produce different images - like pokemon. She was hesitant to ask Ji-Hoon, figuring that he'd think she was stupid of some sorts.

Fay blinked when Ji-Hoon practically shoved the food into her arms. After a brief moment of fumbling with the food so she would be able to carry it easier Fay quickly trailed after Ji-Hoon. Not having much to say she also sat at the opposite side of the picnic table, noticing that Ji-Hoon was more considerate then she made him out to be, he did give her the seat where fireworks would be visible. Fays eyes were glued to the food, her mouth unintentionally drooling. Fay quickly realized, and in a flash she wiped off the drool with the sleeve of her shirt.

Her gaze flickered to the plate the corn dog rested on, still unsure if she should dig in or not. Finally deciding, to just go for it. She took a good sized bite of the corn dog. Her eyes lit up from the delight of the bite, never really having to eat a corndog before - it was an new taste very different compared to berries. She was surprised by Ji-Hoons, sudden comment nervously glancing over to see what he was saying. Fay quickly saw through him, knowing that he had purchased extra just for her.. She felt touched by his kindness, it had been a while since someone was this nice to her.

"Thanks.... " Ji-Hoon..Smiling slightly, she took a sip from her drink and continued to slowly eat away at the corndog. Her eyes glanced towards the moving bushes, and that's when she suddenly remembered about Prim. Fay's Nickit leaped from the nearby bushes easily sticking the landing on the table Fay and Ji-Hoon sat at.

Fay was a little startled by Prims eagerness, the nickits eyes were glued onto the corndog that Fay held in her hands. Didn't even look to acknowledge the stranger that she had been sitting with. Fay let out a sigh, tearing off a small piece of the corndog and gave it to Prim, who had been more then happy with just the small amount. The nickit sat himself down at the opposite edge of the picnic table closer to Fay and munched away. Fay hoped that Ji-Hoon wouldn't mind if she shared some of the corndog with her pokemon..
