[attr="class","light"]standing outside of fernando's gym. he'd continue to buzz the door while awaiting for someone to answer. he was bored, it showed on his expression. he continued to childishly ring the bell for an assistant or someone to come out and greet him. unaware to the fact that he wasn't taking any challenge for today.

but he didn't choose to read the sign on the door. so he'd keep buzzing until someone came out. little did he know that someone would be a familiar face in the crowd.

Yui was hanging out at fernando's gym, apparently since the staff there didn't know who the heck she was she decided to stick around more so that they became familiar with her. She snooped around the area a bit, of course nowhere Fernando wouldn't be ok with her going of course. She didn't want to get in trouble with him for being where she shouldn't be. She however began to hear a noise near the entrance, the gym wasn't really open today, who the hell was here? She made her way over to the door with cherrim in it's sunny form held in her arms. "Mateo? What are you doing here?" she said curiously as the gym was closed today.

he had too many as is. "i'm lookin' for your brother, not the 'mistake' of the family," mateo called. a taunting smile worn as he impishly grinned at the end of his statement. "is it bring your baby sister to work day, eh? eh?" he'd lean in, nudging the air with his incessant poke.

Yui leaned in on the door "oh yeah and my total favorite of the elite four arrives as well." she said with a small smug smile as it was obvious she preferred stormy. She tried to hold her temper at first but the taunts of mistake of the family and baby sister work day made her snapped. She grabbed both of Mateo's cheeks on his face and began to pull them "CAN A BABY DO THIS? HUH YOU JERK?" she said as the gremlin leapt out of her body ready to square up. After a few moments she calmed down and let go, stepping outside of the gym and closing the door behind her. "Fern isnt taking challenges today." she said pointing at the sign and reading it out for him. "Besides, why do you wanna battle him?" she asked curiously as she leaned against the wall and looked at him suspiciously.

"that damn point dexter is on my shit list..." it was then Yui Fujin Silph would once more question the dragon tamer.

looking back, he'd say, "the hell's our business got anythin' to do with you, gremlin?" mateo retorted. why exactly was she here? Yui frowned at his comment of asking if she should be in school. "I already graduated from college with my Masters you jerk." she said squinting at him for questioning where she should be. She also chose to ignore the question of asking why she's in his gym, Yui snuck her way in without asking for his permission to look around but there was no way in hell she'd admit it to Mateo. Yui had no friends close to her in age, she had no one she considers friends at all, tends to happen to shut ins. After she calmed down she realized what she had just done and began to mentally yell at herself for talking such big game against an Elite 4. This guy was on the same level as stormy and Yui despite her encyclopedic knowledge on Pokémon..was not the most trained season when it came to battling.

he said it, but but that was to mainly bother her more. she almost looked as if she was on the verge of crying; it was only an assumption due to how loud she got. so he'd try to change the subject for her. "no way, you're 20?" maybe it was due to his height and her appearance, as well as behavior, that he saw her as a child. especially considering the fact that fernando was her older brother.

"by the way, i'm no longer an elite four member anymore." that was a thing of the past. "some personal stuff happened, so i'm sort of on a sabbatical." so there was no need to keep up with that title. "anyway, back to you, so you are a silph! you just have the brain, but not the skill?" he wish he had half a brain to code. he could barely play videogames. "you must great at videogames then?"

"yes im 20, I just look younger." she said calming herself a bit so she wouldn't actually cry. Mateo wasn't even teasing her that bad she was mostly just getting angry but it wasn't at him. It was more at herself but that was a bundle of issues she wouldn't deal with yet. She still had more growing to do. "You aren't?" she asked curiously but then he went on to explain "Ahh. I see." she said being rather curious as to the reason why he was on break, did he do something wrong? Maybe FERNANDO SILPH could shed more info with her later if he even wanted to. He did like to keep secrets to himself at times.[break][break]
Mateo then went on to basically summarize her situation at the moment. Yui was a very smart and capable girl, she just had little experience with the world. Until recently she used to just stay shut in, only really maintaining contact with fernando Stormy Silph and at times eve who was more like a stranger to Yui than anything. It was only until Fernando and her went out to do field work that she decided she needed to actually live her life and go out. "You could put it that way I suppose...I was a shut in until recently." she replied as she danced around the subject, she went over to a nearby bench and sat down, putting her hands between her legs and looking rather dejected. "I cant even use z moves or mega evolutions,a total noob.." annoyed with the girl she wrapped a clenched fist in her hand at her own short comings. "And yes im pretty knowledgable on video games. I usually play turn based ones or RTS games."

[attr="class","light"]maybe there was more to yui than he thought. he'd come to lean against the wall next to the bench she sat on. one leg propped up, his hands pocketed, and his back against the stark wall. mateo would remain facing forward, though his eyes silently drifted to his peripheral vision; gazing upon yui as she spoke of her own shortcomings.

"that so?" he responded within a nonchalant tone; mateo continued to listen. she would probably find a friend in kyle, considering he liked games and all. he'd have to introduce them sometime. "z-moves and mega evolutions are played out anyway," hands now placing themselves behind his head, "you just need to know how to battle. sure a mega or a z-move can help shift the tide, but as long as you keep at it you'll get there." besides, z-moves and mega evolutions required trust.

"considerin' you're a former (?) shut-in, battling should come natural to you though?" didn't it run in their family? "it's no different from all that computer stuff. you got a master's degree for a reason, ain't that suppose to say somethin' about your brains?" maybe it was wrong to judge a book by its cover. hopefully what he just said didn't take a hit on her pride.

"But you cant deny their power." she retorted "It's a whole new world of possibility with strategies I cant reach." she said throwing her head back on the bench and slumping in she reached into her purse and pulled out a small little stone, it was an Eeveenite. As she rolled it around in her hand, she was afraid to even try mega evolution again out of fear of failure. However as he begun to talk more and more she did analyze her own recent missions. "Theory crafting sure, I can take my time to formulate a team to cover each others weaknesses. I know a lot about Pokémon..but as soon as my opponent completely wrecks my plan I can have a hard time recovering. " [break][break]

However he did say something interesting, battling was no different from that computer stuff. She kind of laughed a bit "It is different! I...guess? coding is just like speaking a different language, it's like talking to a computer and telling it what you want. In battles...someone's arguing against you." she then got frustrated and began to scratch her head "UGHHH" she hated this feeling, this disappointment in herself. She had no idea how to handle it.
