The desert sun was shining mercilessly above in the cloudless sky. Lex could feel her bare arms starting to burn. She regretted not packing ore sunscreen for today’s excursion into the desert. Luckily, she had enough sense to wear a baseball cap to protect her face. She wouldn’t make the mistake of forgetting sunscreen next time.
Today, Lex was actively hunting for wild pokemon. Her team still have several hole sin the infrastructure and she heard the desert was a great place to look for grass types or more fire types. Maybe she would even run into a rock-type!
So far, the trail was empty. She couldn’t even pick up the any signs of life: no tracks, no droppings . . . nothing. Lex sighed, placing her hands on her hips in frustration. The last thing she wanted to do was be stuck out here all day. Perhaps it was time for reinforcments.
Lex extracted the Braviary’s pokeball from her belt, releasing the bird into the sky. He screeched excitedly, spreading his wings and swooping down to land in front of the trainers. Lex patted Aubie in greeting. The raptor leaned into it and hummed happily, “Alright Aubie, help me out,” Lex took her pointer and middle finger into a v-shape, pointing them towards her eyes then flipping it over and waving them in a circle over her open left palm, “Search,” she commanded the bird, then flipped the fingers back up into bunny ears, flexing them at the joints, “Pokemon,” The hand gestures complimented the audible commands. Sometimes, she needed to be quiet, so visual cue in addition to verbal cues were a part of her training regimen.
Aubie nodded in understanding, kicking up a swirl of sand as he rose into the air, using his Keen Eye to search for pokemon below.
Lex is searching for wild pokemon!
