a stack of flyers in his arm as he walked into the lilycove department store. he'd been given permission to hang up some of them on a bulletin board inside, to gather interest in his newest community building activity. a quilting circle. after all, what could be better to bring people together than working on something nice? it would give him a chance to give back more after all. with a smile he quietly hummed to himself as he pinned a couple of them to the board. his phone number on the bottom for people to take if they wanted more information. how could any of this go wrong really? he couldn't think of a way.

with all the terrible things that happened in the world it would be good to do some good. and to help others do good too. if this took off like he hoped it would then maybe, just maybe, he'd get to know his neighbors a little bit better as well. taking care of kids was his life's work but sometimes he felt as though it was all he did. even if it was he was sure he was fine with it... but, who knew what branching out would do for him as well.

Melody was doing some shopping in Lilycove, she was glad to be back home after travelling for a bit. Plus this department store was AWESOME, they had almost EVERYTHING a gal could want. She walked around with her shopping bag and spotted something rather interesting, a flyer for a quilting club! ooo it sounded like fun! Melody had wanted to learn a new skill on the side and see why so many people enjoyed quilting! This seemed like a golden opportunity so she decided to take one of the little slips of paper with the number on it and text the host for it.

She texted the number the following message "Hello! I saw your flyer in the department store and I wanted to give quilting a shot! Please let me know when you host a club meeting!"

when the little chiming sound of his phone went off to let gil know he had a text he was pleasantly surprised that it was someone already interested in the quilting club. after all he had been sure it would take him ages to get anyone to give him a call. but now that he had at least one person he felt extremely optimistic about the whole thing. "thank you for getting in touch with me so quickly! it'll be good to have some beginners. i'm actually still inside the store if you want to meet up for more details!" he said it would be good to have beginners but at this point it was just good to have anyone at all really.

A quick response! Awesome! She quickly slid her finger around on the screen and placed a bunch of taps on the phone screen as well for good measure as she wrote out her apply. "Sure! Awesome!" she said following it up with a different question "I can meet up right now im still near the poster board, where are you?" she asked curiously as she looked around to see if she could spot anyone using their phone and was replying. She didn't really notice anyone at first but she moved over to wherever gil responded so she could meet him...after all this guy could be someone her mother warned her to stay away from...she truly hoped not though.
