pokkenger did his best the dodge the dragon's mighty swings while his own pokemon were busy quelling the other dragons cusing all kinds of havoc around the site. of course he wished that he kept one of them behind to help him out he was certain that he could still take it on on his own. after all it was like some of those old rpgs he used to play where the brave knight would take on the mighty dragon to stop its rampage. the only thing missing of course was a legendary sword that could take it down, pokkenger had no sword but he did see something that was pretty close behind the haxorus, a pretty sturdy looking axe.

as the dragon swung its head downward at the masked hero the quickly dashed forward and slid inbetween its legs and quickly grabbed the axe that he was looking for. he brandished it with a mighty swing as the dragon turned to face him with a roar and charged at him with its axe head swinging wildly as pokkenger charged in to meet it. "prepare yourself beast! your fighting the knight of hoenn pokkenger! prepare to meet your maker!" the hero roared as he reached down to also take out a pokeball that he lobbed inbetween them to try and catch it in the middle of their battle.

It looked like something was going on in the construction site across the street, trainers descending in waves to pick off the dragons that had made the empty lot, filled with steel beams and freshly dug trenches into their territory. Angelo, meanwhile, was content to bide his time and wait for a quieter opportunity. Instead sitting on a wall across the street from the Haxorus’s playground and chewing slowly on a sandwich – enjoying lunch and a free show. [break][break]

At least, he would be, if one of the Axew hadn’t gravitated towards him. Or more accurately his sandwich. [break][break]

“Sorry, buddy. This ain’t for you,” he tells the small dragon as it stands, wide eyed in an attempt to implore him, some few feet away. This was his egg sandwich, no matter how many teary looks it threw his way. [break][break]

Looking down at his lunch, preparing to take another bite, from underneath his lashes Angelo spots movement. Only when he looks properly up again, the Axew is perfectly still. Only giveaway that it had moved being its slightly closer presence. Blue eyes narrow, suspicious. [break][break]

He looks away. Movement. He looks back up. Axew frozen, this time undeniably closer. [break][break]

“Don’t play this game. You’re not getting anything from me…” He spent good money on this sandwich...[break][break]

Angelo glances down. Rinse and repeat. Until the Axew is close enough to touch his knee. There’s a moment of still, both of them statues, before with a screech the dragon flings itself towards the courier’s lap, claws hungrily snatching. The innocent-lunch-eater throws himself to his feet, defiant in defending his meal to the end. [break][break]

“Oh, no you fucking don’t!”

when someone gave priam the news that haxorus were nearby his location on slateport, he dropped everything he was doing to get to the site.

free dragons always got priam fast on the scene with his weapon ready. with his hand on the trigger of the pokeball containing his espeon, he dashes in front of one and releases it, tossing it upwards to the air in a rather show-offish manner.

all it took for the psychic-type was one glance at its enemy before it thrashes them with a dazzling gleam. bright light not only blinded the haxorus, but also somehow got them to cower over its shine.

priam takes the opportunity to throw a pokeball, just in case.

Hold until some trainers can catch some for themselves...

Thats what he was told, and so Razz decided to wait a bit. Watching as one by one trainers coming trying to challenge the Haxrous for a chance of proving themselves to the dragon to try an catch themselves one. Personally Razz wasn't that interested but he did let out his Heracross Slate for the chance to fight one of the dragons as he had a very competitive spirit.

His main focus though was to watch the steel beams before the Haxrous got to them and caused a bigger problem. He didn't entirely get why they had to let trainers be given a shot, but he supposes in would tire them out enough to make it easier for the rangers to move them. Though when one was getting to close to a beam Razz did toss a pokeball to prevent it to scratching the beam.

THANKFULLY, the Haxorus are forced away from the construction site. Although the area sports some nasty looking damage from these dragons' axe-like tusks, it could have been worse. Three pokeballs, fresh with the heat of capture, sink softly into a slab of wet cement. You better fish those out before they became a permanent ~~fraxure~~ fixture.[break][break]
