[attr="class","alex"] pokemon tag words 531 notes someone had a change of heart lol | Alexei knew that he had to keep up the act as part of it, and thankfully his companion was thinking along the same line he was. His eyebrows went up slightly as one of the canid Pokémon faced down the much larger ‘wild’ Salamence, and despite the curious look in his draconid’s eyes, he shook his head before staring down at the Delibird, nonverbally telling the draconid to continue trying to eat the Delibird.
Despite its much-smaller size, the Poochyena held its ground, Swaggering its way into the path of the Salamence—and despite the dual-type recognizing the attack, was still afflicted with the attack that caused its field of vision to spin around. Now that the Delibird had finally managed to catch its breath, it made a beeline towards Kyle at first—but at the last second switched directions and hid behind Alexei’s foot.
“Take a look at that,” he said to the other avian, gesturing at the second Poochyena who’d seemingly Yawned at the draconid—and while the other was ready to incinerate the Delibird with a Flamethrower, the Yawn made the other suddenly drowsy. A few more seconds later, and the large draconid landed with a thump on the ground, snoozing peacefully.
“What’ya know,” he mused with a hint of a smirk on his face in Kyle’s direction before turning back to face the Delibird. “Will you let us help you now?” he asked the stubborn avian, and waiting for a reaction, prepared to unball his Braviary.
To his relief, the Delibird finally nodded, still hanging around behind the back of his foot, which he then took his cue to summon his Braviary in a burst of red light, watching as the other avian spread his wings and turn to face his companion curiously. “I know you can lift heavy loads. You can take that, right?” he asked the avian, gesturing to the large sack.
A derisive cawing noise came from the avian, who then took off and flew forward, picking up the sack by the smaller end—the part where the Delibird had been trying to carry it. With a burst of strength and an almighty cry, the Braviary then lifted the sack off the ground and into the air. “Where to?” he asked the Delibird, who then pointed further downward the mountain.
“Lavaridge?” he mused, before the Delibird insistently pointed forward again.
“Onward, then,” he said in his avian’s direction, the Braviary flying off at a reasonable height, carrying the sack between his claws. He knew that the avian could literally carry a car, that strength of his.
“Shall we get going, then?” he said, picking up the Delibird—before the other could have a chance to squawk, he then stuffed the smaller bird onto his shoulder. At the same time, he quickly fished out the Salamence’s Moon Ball, quickly recalling the slumbering draconid in a flash of red light and shrinking the marble down before the Delibird could notice, now hanging onto Alexei by his shoulder while keeping an eye on its precious cargo that another avian was carrying for him.
Oh, how humiliated the Delibird was. But even it knew when to give up.
Salamence Confused and then put to Sleep!
Delibird finally gives up and lets them take the sack; never tearing its stare away from it even as a Braviary managed to carry said sack into the air with much ease.
And now they're headed towards Lavaridge.
