Melody had a day off, her first one since becoming a gym leader. She took this as a day to relax and rest BUT, she wasn't the type to really sit at home and do nothing now was she? Melody decided maybe she'd take her pokemon out today. She walked into the main room of her gym and let out a whistle with her mouth as her pokemon came either running or swimming around beneath the glass floor to the ocean. Meldoy smiled, a lot of them seemed really eager today but there was one in particular she was looking for. There she was! "Lapras! You're up!" Melody then rode on her lapras sitting on it's back in her swimsuit trying to get some nice sun. Of course she wore sunblock though! Gotta protect yourself from those U.V rays

Melody took her shades off as she looked towards the sky. A flygon flew over head...what the heck was it doing here? It reminded her of her recent adventure to the desert and melody was still trying to hide that trauma away so she immediately put her shades back on and went right back to sun tanning. She sat back up and look at the basket that was tied to one of lapras's little pillars on her back. "Lapras! Snack time!" she said opening the lunch box and pulling out some grepa berries for lapras to eat. She held two of them in her hand and presented them for lapras to eat off of. Lapras let out a small little chirp of joy and melody ate the spare one she had for herself as well.

Catching dewpider!

Melody however while searching through her basket seemed to find a strange little fellow was watching her reach into the bag as well...a dewpider. It looked at her curiously, blowing bubbles within it's little bubble that slowly floated to the top and then just joined the atmosphere outside of it's little bubble. She looked at it curiously, they were usually aggressive but this some seemed different? Melody wondered if it was hungry so she placed her greppa berry on the floor and watched to see what it'd do. It stared at her, then it stared at the berry, then looked back at her as she nodded again as if reaffirming to the Pokémon it was meant for him. The dewpider eagerly ran over and placed the berry inside of it's bubble, letting the water soak it a bit and ate the soggy bits of the berry. [break][break]

Eventually it finished eating it and thanked melody by running up to her and hugging her leg. Awww how cute, melody took out a net ball and bopped it on it's water bubble hoping the little guy would let her capture him to be a friend. Little did she know she'd slowly come to not like this pokemon.
