A sudden flash of light, right into their path, threw the Gogoat for a loop. In order to avoid a collision course, the grass-type was forced to pivot quickly on his front hooves. The momentum carried his hind end around before his hooves planted firmly into the dirt path.

Unfortunately, Eva wasn’t hanging on quite as tight as she probably should have been. The sudden stop and momentum sent her small form flying through the air. It all seemed to happen in slow motion. The doctor found herself drifting over the source of the disruption. A small Ralts stared up at her as she flew overhead, just as confused as she was.

Eventually Eva tumbled onto the ground, rolling a few times before coming to a halt on her back. She lie there, unmoving for a moment. A sharp breath brought the air back to her lungs. A dull ache resonated through her back.

She was getting too old for this shit.

The Ralts waddled over, it’s head blocking the few rays of sun that cut through the trees as it looked down curiously, “Oh hey, buddy,” she groaned, sitting up to recover from the fall. Rubbing the back of her head she withdrew an empty pokeball. It wasn’t everyday you came across a good looking Ralts! Plus, the Ralts line held a special place in her heart. The pokeball jumped from her hand as it was tossed lightly at the nearby Ralts, an attempt at catching it.
