cait took a moment to ponder over her next words, tailoring her tone to appropriately convey her concern.

"i said it's a bit dangerous, don't you think?"

she allowed the inquiry to linger, desiring for the woman to interpret it however she fancied before she further clarified her point.

"with the war going on and rocket knocking at our door - "

'again,' she thought.

cait gestured vaguely in the air, her brows arched high upon her forehead.

" - wouldn't it have been safer to stay in galar?"

had their positions been reversed, she'd high tail it back home and hope that rocket wouldn't pose much of a threat once she was across the sea.

'a lot of good that did us.'

the woman resisted the urge to give a snort.

"i'd just... hate to see someone else hurt. you never know what may or may not happen."

"the way you put it, i guess it is.." Ali frowns a little, she didn't know much about rocket or the three day war. While she did know of hoenns problems thanks to local news it didn't seem bad, from her standpoint at least.

Alison gives it more thought and ends up coming to the conclusion that Cait is right, she gives the woman a small confirmative nod. "Actually you are right, Galar would be much safer." She bites into her lip worried about Andy and mother, both of them didn't want to return home for a strange reason.

"Is the war really going to happen - theres no way to stop it?" Alison asked Cait out of curiosity, she wondered what stopped the woman from leaving hoenn herself but couldn't bring herself to asking her.

Up in the sky a hoppip rides along gentle breezes, uncaringly. Alison spots it out, she threw a empty pokeball towards it, hoping that she'd be lucky and it be caught without battling.

"unless the council is willing to bring rocket to the negotiation table - i highly doubt we'll stop it."

the idea was unlikely but stood a chance of occurring if either side sought it out.

'unlikely,' she thought.

"it's very likely each side will try to exterminate the other," she said, shrugging. "and i don't just mean 'subjugate' the other side - i mean 'annihilate.'"

she had glimpsed the future and saw nothing but death, which led her toward such a conclusion.

"if you're going to stay i'd recommend you remain completely neutral. i severed ties with league shortly after everything went to pieces."

“I mean why wouldn’t they?” She asked purely from curiosity. Alison saw no reason as to why they wouldn’t, she didn’t understand the nation's politics and had a naive way of thinking, she figured that they would be able to agree on some sort of peace agreement.

Alison gasped when Cait explained how the two organizations wouldn’t stop until they have annihilated each other. A hand cupped over her mouth in order to try and hide her shock, it did a poor job tho.

“Thats.. Thats horrible.” She spoke in a hushed tone, eyes glued towards the floor. She could feel herself slowly begin to tremble. “Neutral..” Alison repeats with a chuckle, something easier said than done.

Would it even be possible to remain neutral? Alison already felt that she was on the side of the league, after all everyone on team rocket were horrible merciless criminals, at least that's how she had perceived them. “I’ll try..” she looks back up towards cait, “do you plan on leaving?”

"leave?"

the thought had never seriously crossed her mind. perhaps it had come in passing, lingering momentarily in the aftermath of Sénon Game 's initial attempt at returning to his homeland.

"i can't," she said. "this is my home. my tribe's compound is located in fortree - my fiancee works here - my property is here. as long as rocket or league don't attempt to ruin that, i could care less about who comes out victorious."

cait gave a dismissive shrug, averting her gaze and crossing her arms over her chest.

"i wish i had someplace else to go but i don't. i'm stuck. and if you're not careful you may find yourself in a similar situation.."

her words were ominous and she made her warning all-too clear, the woman was genuinely concerned for alison's well-being despite her tone that bordered on harsh. had the novice trainer been an experienced one, she'd have kept her mild theatrics to a minimum. but it was wise to instill some wariness into the young woman before she ventured forth.

"where's your family, if you don't mind me asking?"

Alison isn't surprised that the hoppip breaks free, she hadn't put in much effort the first attempt. It hovers lower to the ground, and Alison has her alolan raichu go for an attack to weaken it somewhat. "electro ball" she conveyed the order with more confidence then the first, and her raichu sent fourth a ball of electricity; paralyzing the hoppip.

Whipping out another pokeball, she hopes that it's enough to grant its capture. Alison realizes that she may of had overstepped boundaries seeing Cait's reaction, it wasn't her intention but curiosity sometimes makes you ask stupid things. "sorry didn't mean to offend you or something." She scratches her head, feeling a little flustered.

She hesitates when Cait asks her where her family was, Alison wasn't really sure herself and didn't know how honest she should be with the woman. She bites her lower lip as she ponders what to say and figures it would be best to be honest; after all Cait had been so helpful, it's not fair to lie to her. "honestly... i'm not sure, my brother ran away ages ago and my mom came here to find him." She closes her eyes and takes a sigh. "they don't know i'm here"

'family always complicates things,' she thought.

a hint of a grimace forms as she visibly mulls over the piece of information presented. apparently alison's circumstances were beyond simple. there was a legitimate reason as to why she had decided to make her way here.

'i want to pry. but - '

but she didn't have much of a right to.

"so you're here to find your family then."

it was something she'd do; even if there was a war that threatened to unravel everything.

"i can't really blame you for being here then," she conceded. "can you give me a name? i may be able to help. i'm not with the league anymore but i do have a few connections handy."

the sooner alison found her family the sooner she'd return home - most likely.

Alison liked to think she knew many people, however there weren't many that were understanding. Cait, A stranger: was more understanding compared to those she knew for years. Alison wasn't totally sure what that meant, maybe the people around her just sucked and she needed to surround herself with people like Cait.

Comforted by Cait's offer, Alison nods slowly. "My brothers name is Andy Blackadder, he left galar a few months back. "
