Fernando isn’t familiar with either name. Even if Silas were to mention them, dominic sinclair had always used a pseudonym during their exchanges. Considering how little he had on him, Fernando never pushed for more. Just enough to cut off the head.

Once upon a time, it sufficed. Now? Not so much.

“I’ll be sure you get a front seat.”

But there still much he doesn’t know. Things he needs to know if he’s to make any headway. So he asks a simple, innocent question.

“After Verdanturf, if things went your way, what did you want? Assume Rocket took over Hoenn. Then what?”

He continues along because eventually there has to be an end. What he needs is motivation. Whatever Silas had planned, the rest of them clearly didn’t agree. Blame it on his methods, sure, but that doesn’t provide any more insight onto the current iteration of Team Rocket.

Fernando pulls his hand inward, elbow to his side, inhaling, before letting it all out in one exaggerated exhale. A stream of mist is purged from his lungs and the added mass lets him bring out another. It’s a Megalopolan, mostly humanoid, but distinctly different by the way the mist shimmers in darker hues.

“Legendary Pokemon are like people, they have different personalities, desire, and they’re just as fallible. They make mistakes. They pick the wrong people.”

The Megalopolan is more reserved than Silas in that they come to, aware of their surroundings, before lunging at him with the intent to bite through his neck. Fernando dismisses it as soon as the alien phases through him.

“One of them tried to play hero and opened up our world to invasion from another dimension. Avatars like that must be eliminated. We cannot let such beasts get tethered to such fools.”

Fernando understand this but his goal is not their extermination. They must cull the weak and stupid so that the rest can flourish. Evolution is the next step. Like Silas, he is willing to expunge those needed, but where they draw the line is what makes them different.

“There is a threshold for tolerance. When they cross it, I will step in to maintain balance, whatever that may require.”
