wolfgang sits in front of a pc, slouched on the chair as he stares at the screen.

a personal request has popped in his email one day, with demands seemingly uncommon for it to be from a regular person, but definitely within the scope of he can do. previous experiences gave him tools and skills to accomplish the task, though the lack of connections had made it difficult for him to prosper in his field.

finding someone that singled him out bewilders him, no matter how fortunate this circumstance is with him.

regardless, he's in no position to disregard the message. with rent for the month coming up soon and his funds slowly dwindling from various projects that end up merely for his own amusement, the job was necessary.

for an order to be too intricate to be described trusted over emails, his client had agreed to come meet him to describe it firsthand. the agreed upon time on their exchange of messages has already passed. wolfgang sits, waiting.

Yui had contacted wolfgang as well....athena. She didn't want fernando or anyone else tied to her to know of these weapons or even have it be traced back to one of them. She wasn't sure how legal it was to make this kind of stuff. The only time she ever saw anything of this nature was when that strange super hero saved her with the rotom in his suit. However with more and more avatars popping up she felt at unease, she had faith in her Pokémon but she wanted something discrete while she worked to fight if she had to. Weapons she saw in a show once of a man with powers much like a joltix or a galvantula. Well it wasn't that man himself but a villain instead who had some appendages that he used as weapons, she wondered how plausible it'd be. So she went onto the dark web like any normal gal would. She came across one such person wolfgang volkov . [break][break]

She requested to meet him in little root town she told him to sit on a specific bench she could see from the forest. She sent a text to his phone "Approach forward to the treeline. I am here waiting." Hoping that the light from her phone wouldn't give her away as the afternoon glow of the sun began to fade away. [break][break]

She lied in wait with her "athena" costume on, it was a simple cloak that covered up to her upper thighs hiding her hands and a black helmet to hide her face.

he clicks his tongue as soon as he receives instructions. whistling for his riolu to come along with him as he sets off from his home to the rendezvous point.

littleroot was a quiet, little place with nothing much happening. if something new were to happen, locals would quickly know of it. it's not like they would care, however.

as he walks through the treeline as she had requested, he sends her a text message in response.

do you really want to communicate through text instead of a call?

he already has an idea of how the person operates if they insisted on leading him to them instead of just setting a meeting place in the first place: the kind of people he does not like.

An interesting reply, he complied yet complained. Oh well, not like it mattered, she grabbed onto her beheeyem as it teleported her to the floor instead. She looked him up and down, she hadn't expected him to look like that. Then again, she never really even gave much thought as to what he looked like but if she had to describe the picture in her head she'd imagine he'd be a scrawny nerd type. It was exactly because littleroot was a small town that she was worried, the locals took note of anything strange and would probably report it. thankfully beheeyem could create some gaps in memories to anyone who saw them. Beheeyem immediately used imprison on the area around them as her altered voice from the helmet masking her face rung out in the area. "Sorry, a precaution I take." he answered "He only reacts if harm comes to me but I have faith you care more about the promise of a reward for the task I need done." she waited to see how he reacted first before continuing.

the only reaction she gets is him crossing his arms and raising a brow. there's too much idle time that he's uncertain if she's thinking of something else or if she's just slow in the head. he hopes it's the former for the best of both of them.

he gets surprised with the beheeyem, which forces a riolu out from the collar of his shirt. it stays by his shoulders, while wolfgang speaks his mind.

"precaution? i would've beaten the shit out of you if i wanted to do that."

he continues to stare her down as she makes a preface for her demands. the only thing it does is get him more impatient with how she's dealing with him. it wasn't exactly her fault, but every second is important for wolfgang.

"can you please stop talking about the unnecessary things and just give me the deets. you're correct when you say i just care about the money."

it's not the most polite thing to say in front of a client, which is why he gets so little of them.

She said as she lifted up her cloak slightly as a small Rotom zipped out from underneath it, it zipped towards Wolfgang and riolu quickly trying to spook it before zipping away back towards his trainer. while the riolu tries to chase after the rotom with a very delayed force palm that wouldn't have done anything even if it hit, wolfgang remains unfazed. he listens intently on her specifications, of which there was little.

wolfgang scoffs as the end of his lip rises to a smirk.

"'s that all?"

having a rotom in the equation makes things much more simple in theory. a simple receptacle for one was easy to create if one just knows the simple electronics, which wasn't much given the scope of his work.

taking out his phone, he sees everything he needs. the list of materials and schematics already starts to form in his head, minus minute additions he might make later on to finetune the weapon, but it's within the scope of what he can do.

"and here i thought you'd want me to make something more complicated. when's the deadline for it?"

The force palm dissipates as Rotom allowed it to phase through it's body. It giggled at the Riolu's silly little attempt to hit him before it zipped back over to Yui's side. He seemed to be pretty confidant in his abilities to create and craft items, her eyes locked onto his through the one way glass that served as her helmet. He seemed to take a lot of pride in his craft so she was excited to see how well he'd fair. [break][break]

"As soon as possible. Expedite it over your other orders, the faster you get it the more I'll pay." she adds as she's willing to even dip into her savings and asking her other employer for help, after all this was for the work they were giving her. "When's the soonest you can have it done by? I'm on a tight schedule and it's not something I think I can continue without." she adds as she tries to emphasize she needs this done quickly. The rotom looks eagerly at the two wondering how the rest of this conversation would go despite the fact it could not understand most of it. But it did understand Yui was certainly enjoying herself.

he stifles a laughter. 'other orders' like he has people lining up for him. fortunately for athena, there won't be a waiting line regardless of her demands. unfortunately, wolfy doesn't mention it.

"depends. if you can provide materials, i can do it faster than you think i could."

having them delivered from slateport takes a while since there's no way littleroot would have everything on the list.

in the matters of craft, wolfgang has confidence in his skill. he wouldn't count it as arrogance if he has something to back it up with. years of experience had told him that miss athena's tool wasn't the most complicated thing he has ever assembled in his entire career.

"how much have you estimated that it would take to finish? i'll bet ya i can finish it in less than that time!"

Materials huh? She hadn't really given that much thought because she thought he might have his own sources that he liked to order from. Hmmm a misstep but not a total loss. "I can order what you need so just send me what you need and I'll get in contact with sources and have it delivered quickly." she couldn't help but grin at the idea of him trying to beat her expected wait time was a bit humorous.

"A week?" she asked as she saw how eager he was getting, she wanted to push him a bit and see how he responded. Maybe he was simple minded? Not that it was a problem to be honest, she would just adjust her strategies and approach to him for it. Rotom grinned and vibrated up and down really fast as even her pokemon was getting eager just by watching the man get excited. Did he even understand? Probably not.

a week?

he's tempted to scoff, but he has the decency to hold it in longer. he might not be the best person around, but he's going to fight nail and tooth if anyone ever dares tell him he's not the top of his craft.

"if i take longer than a week, you're getting half of the commission back. if i don't, i get to borrow your design. deal?"

not that he cared or anything, but he still respects the value people put on their intellectual property. this was basically just him asking for permission since he definitely knows he can do it in under a week.

might even take him a couple of days if he pulls out all-nighters.
