Something he's been chanting in his head since he got her and signed up. That was the mission don't try to take people down, just gather intel to turn in for later. So the Ranger was doing just that. With a Rotom in his phone recording everything going on around him. The Masked Man just tried to take deep breaths to calm himself. Part of blending it meant he would have to compete because there was no way he was coming to a place like this without a mask. And there was no way a place like this would allow another in a mask unless they were competing so here he was. [break][break]

As he goes through the dark tunnel shock and horror hits him like a wall as it isn't difficult to recognize the other across the battle field. The crowd feels as if someone had hit the mute button on them as he stares down the other. What the hell was he doing here? Razz couldn't be more grateful for the mask as he knows it was hiding both his shock and fear of the older man. The crowd and announcer still feel quiet around him as it feels like his heart is in his ears, so he is barely responsive as they seemed to have dubbed him the name 'Spiral' or something along that line due to the pattern on his mask. He didn't hear it as everything still felt quiet. [break][break]

Razz repeats in his head as he calls on one of the pokemon he knows he can trust to fight the way these people expected. For some reason he finds himself silent as he raises his left arm and motions for them to bring it on.

In one point of his life Razz was a poison master. He knew how to use them well, and knew what they could do. His very first pokemon was a Nidoran that he raised to be a terrifying Nidoqueen, and with his brother and father both owning Nidoking he had a good idea for their movements. So he knows whats coming before it actually does giving a whistle to have Sage curl up into a ball before the masked fighter kicks them like a soccer ball. [break][break]

Traces of the toxic hit his boot, but thankfully doesn't make contact with his skin. As a grass pokemon he had the disadvantage but hopefully his knowledge would help him out. After kicking his pokemon Sage is quick to start rolling mid air as they use ROLL OUT to try to attack the Nidoking. Whether or not he hits or misses though Sage would hear the -snap- his trainer gives. The Quilladin doesn't feel good about it but they would make to reroute their follow up Rollout to aim at their opponent rather than his pokemon. [break][break]

Sage could feel their speed going down as the Nidoking's arms wrapped around them, preventing them from doing a follow up with the attack. Seeing the yellow glow of Earth Power Razz is already on the move to try to avoid the attack coming at him. While the rocks miss him the explosion still gets him in the end knocking his body to the side and ramming him into the small walls of the ring. Continue through the pain, that much he knew he had to do as he pushes himself away, "Yeah well some of us have a day job," he speaks through the voice changer in his mask. [break][break]

He knows the other wouldn't recognize his voice anyways as it's changed since he last saw the man. Thanks puberty, but he already had it installed as any just in case matter. [break][break]

He does two whistles this time a long and short as Sage seems to be struggling in the other pokemon's arms. At the order Sage sends out PIN MISSLE from himself to target not only the Nidoking but Theo as well. Small hope there thinking the attack would losen the other's grip enough to follow up with a DRAIN PUNCH to fully get out.

Is something he almost wants to answer with. Beat the other down here and now admit he was one of his and kill him. Or would it sting better to kill him then say yes? However Razz remembers that he is no longer that violent kid anymore. He is no longer one of them, so instead, ”Yours? I don’t even know who you are,” is all the other gets back, a small burning taste is left in his mouth as he lies as if he just ate a hot pepper. Fucking dragon. But he knows better than to stand still even when his pokemon gets lose, Razz will attempt to give an order but the Flattery works and the order falls on confused ears as the other attempts a punch and ends up hitting himself instead. [break][break]

With Sage unable to properly defend him Razz keeps moving once more narrowly avoiding the rocks but the explosions does knock him forward. With practiced ease, considering he spends his spare times practicing with explosions now, he is able to roll and recover himself as the masked fighter is now closer in to the point where he is able to run in and try to punch the other with his left fist. The plan was to make it so giving orders to his pokemon would be impossible. Or at least make the pokemon hesitant in attacking when their own trainer would also get hurt.[break][break]

Right before the punch Razz would give another whistle, Sage shaking his head some to try to clear their mind enough where the recognize to use VINE WHIP and would attempt to trap the legs of the other pokemon before pulling to try and knock them down.

There is an odd satisfaction punching the other, but he knows better than to let his mind wonder too much. He braces himself for the punch so while it hurts it’s nothing he couldn’t bare. Though if they were back in his older days he might have been able to save himself from being grabbed and sent crashing into the ground. However he was out of practice and while ever now and then he’s been getting a spar in with his fighting pokemon that’s to Buzzwole it was different when it came to fighting a person. All he could really do was ensure that when he did fall his face was right side down so he could still see. With his right hand he would attempt to grab the wrist that Theo used to hold his neck while with his left his would swing at the other. Hopefully the combination of his swinging and the Nidoking’s weight shaking the arena would be enough to get them off. [break][break]

After knocking the other down Sage would look to where his trainer was. The sight of his trainer in danger is definitely what snaps the armor pokemon out of their confusion. From it’s place it would would try VINE WHIP to grab the other human and pull them off his trainer Razz doesn’t even need to give his pokemon an order to come to his aide.

The mask is his saving grace for the moment as it allows him to take the hit to the face. With the way the other hand his hand on his neck pinning him down moving was easily becoming a problem. Razz had become far to rusty with this. While he could probably hold his own easily against the common man despite how much experience he's lost going up against someone who hasn't stopped training was difficult. Razz could feel the heat his his hands rising as he wants to create an explosion. Get the other off him but that would be revealing that he was an avatar. And even with a mask one he wasn't willing to share that little tidbit. Especially since the recording of all this was going to the police later. [break][break]

So he endures, grunting through gritted teeth as another punch lands on his mask. [break][break]

Meanwhile Sage's efforts to protect his trainer are crudely interrupted as the Nidoking comes smashing down on him. Using their size difference to their advantage as the double kick hits. But Sage would not be deterred! He was raised to protect his trainer because their trainer protected pokemon. Sage would work to make it happen. With that mentality in mind the Quilladin's body glows as they begin to evolve. The size difference between them closes as Sage uses another DRAIN PUNCH on the Nidoking who dared interfered. With the larger pins on it's back they would aim it at the man who held down his trainer. After the armored pokemon would come after him to swipe at the human, mistakenly leaving his back open toward the Nidoking.

Razz feels like he can breath again now that the weight of the other is off him. He gets onto his hands and knees again holding onto his helmet as he knows he's bleeding underneath, but also knows he can't remove it now. Razz tries to get up but stops as he sees the Nidoking coming from behind Sage. There is a click of his tongue to give them warning. One of his large arms is used to block the blow but Sage could feel that poison sinking in. With his trainer behind him Sage knows he can't move, but this was also his last stand as he wasn't sure just how much longer he could stand for. [break][break]

Sage doesn't need his trainer's orders as they counter the POISON JABS with DRAIN PUNCHES. Fist goes against fist, some blows get through to both pokemon as the Drain Punch helps him recover the poison damage that drains him. Razz is quick to move back now to not get caught in the crossfire between the two fighters. And with the man behind him having his injuries from the Pin Missles the ranger wouldn't have to worry about them for however long this battle lasted.
