tremors of muscle spasms take over the steelix's body as the STATIC from the wild electabuzz reveals itself. her massive form coils in on itself, twitching and spasming. he even watches as trickles of electricity dance atop her steel body, arcing like thunderbolts between clouds n a thunderstorm. "that's enough chlo," he says, concerned. greyson points her capsule and returns the steelix to her ball.

"she was a gift," greyson replies, looking at the dual colored orb fondly. "and i think i just found the perfect one for her." grabbing the newly acquired pokemon, he places it in his bag.

"you're doing good," he encourages, arms crossed as he watches the fight come to a conclusion. "you had the typing advantage; the speed. many would be hard pressed in a fight against your arcanine." his eye spots a figure in the nearby wood approaching them and greyson begins to reach for something else in his bag.

"but i'm sure you know fighting isn't everything. i've found that there is nothing more satisfying than starting off a partnership with trust."

with a gentle disposition, he holds out a hand full of treats, allowing the sawsbuck to approach. when it does, he gentle strokes his neck. "give it a shot," greyson recommends.

he strolls on over, overly curious, but is stopped when greyson continues speaking.

"oh yeah we're not really fighters. i mean, arc kinda is but he's retired, and dee is...well, dee."

at the suggestion, danny reaches for a few treats and picks them from greyson's hand. he turns, notices another pokemon, and approaches it.

he stands close enough and lowers himself to a knee. he extends one treat out, then waits for it to approach before feeding the tynamo.

"would you look at that? i'm a natural."

gently, he taps a pokeball against tynamo, capturing the small pokemon. right as it disappears, arc rushes on over and tackles him to the ground so he can steal all the treats.

"arc! i was going to give them to you anyways you fat ass."

with the sawsbuck successfully added to the team, greyson stretches fully, pushing out a lazy yawn as well. he notes the attention of more wild pokemon, namely a sewaddle, and tosses the remainder of his snacks in it's direction. it bends at the neck to eat, content to not bother the duo.

"it's getting late, we should head back. leo del río 's mom offered to have you and my family over for dinner. we don't want to be late."

his eyes shift to danny and the small electric pokemon that waddles out of the wood.

"after this, of course."

"sure, give me a sec."

not literally.

he waits for the electric-type to approach and again, like he had done before, he extends a treat out towards it. dee pokes her head over danny's shoulder and curiously observes the other rodent.

the wild minun takes it, then peers up to look at danny. it gestures up to his other shoulder, perhaps wanting to perch up there as well. he nods, extends his hand down, then lifts the electric-type up onto his other shoulder. he feels a jealous NUZZLE from the other side.

"right! let's go get dinner."
