kyle has already proclaimed that training in a route with untrained wild pokemon was just plain barbaric that provides little improvement for his urshifu, but he'll take any kind of improvement if it meant he can get his pokemon to act properly without noah's training.

on hindsight, maybe he should've taken notes on the gym leader's methods of training his own pokemon since it was much more effective for the urshifu than his own.

the place was already grassy, though the sudden growth of it was moreso surprising for kyle.

he turns around, looking for any source of the phenomenon, and he already sees his urshifu trying to pick a fight with a thwacky. they stayed in a standoff just long enough for kyle to get a word in.

"go for it."

the urshifu dashes quickly towards the thwacky, a swift repetition of aerial ace knocking it out with its super-effective hits before it can even retaliate. it's nothing short of what kyle expected though.

he tosses a pokeball, finally getting the fourth terrain setter in his collection.
