With the way the world had been lately, Josh needed to spend a bit of time just exploring a bit, and enjoying the world that he had helped protect. It would be good for his mental health to just strike out for a bit on a day off and travel for a few hours. Catch Pokemon, see the sights and just enjoy himself. This helped remind him of why he did what he did too. It was a good motivator for his work, both as a Ranger, and as part of RaiCorp.

Today he and Lightning had struck out for the Safari Zone. Here he was curious as to what he might find...

An Oricorio? Josh wasn't familiar with the dancing flower Pokemon. What should he call it? Lily? Lillie? He wasn't sure, but he was interested in this new Pokemon that he had never seen before as he raced across. Interested, he sent out his Florges. But the attempt to tame it by having the Pokemon join in the dance backfired as it quickly attacked. "Flower Shield!" he called to Florges as it brought up a shield to prevent the attack. Oricorio hopped to and fro and Josh waited patiently before shouting at the right moment.

"Magical Leaf!"

Florges attacked with Magical Leaf, and Josh threw the Safari Ball soon after.

The Oricorio would be caught, but the ruckus had caught the attention of a Galarian Ponyta who had been frolicking to the music and dance that the Oricorio had been providing. Which meant it had decided to attack as well. That wasn't good. Josh returned Forges to its Pokeball and brought out Logu to counter it, knowing that it could do more damage from the air and force Ponyta on the offensive.

"Flame Charge!" he called to the Fletchinder as it struck down at the Ponyta. Though now that Josh got a better look at it... Was that really a Ponyta? Its fire... It was purple! And blue! That was... That was strange. The more he got a look at it, the more he realized he didn't recognize it at all! But as Ponyta moved to attack, Josh fished out one of his custom made Pokemon treats. It looked like a Fairy type, he thought... What if...?
