“Good afternoon!” Quinn approached the Silph Co. information desk with a bright smile on his face, recognizing the familiar face of the secretary behind the counter. “You again?” She let out an exasperated sigh, already feeling drained by his cheerful demeanor. “I don’t see any Castform deliveries on the schedule, Doctor Riley.” Quinn shook his head, reaching into his bag and handing a document to her. “I’m actually supposed to meet with Ms. Yui Fujin Silph today!” She cocked an eyebrow and read over the paper before handing it back to him with a visitor badge, pointing towards the elevator. “Take those to the 34th floor, look for the closet with her name on the door.”

Quinn was confused by the statement, did she actually work out of a closet? “Thank you!” A quick ride up the elevator brought him to the designated floor, stepping off and moving down the hallway until he spotted her nameplate. “Hello?” When he knocked on the door, the entry was already partially open, swinging further with each rap of his knuckles. “Ms. Silph?”

Yui had set up her office away from others, from her days when she was a shutaway she did it on purpose. Only those who needed to see her of her own volition would find her. [break][break]

The door to her office did seem like a rather...well mundane door, it did appear like a broom closet from the outside at least. However once Quinn Riley opened the door he'd find a rather large office. with a desk in the center of it and a bunch of hanging perches for her bird pokemon like chatot, and pikipek. She also had her other baby pokemon running around playing with one another like dedenne and munchlax. They all stare at Quinn and immediately run behind her desk waiting for Yui to approve of the stranger entering her domain. [Break][break]

She looks up at him and checks the time "Ah yes, Mr. Quinn! Come in! Come in!" she says as she takes off her glasses for computer screens and places it on her table and stands up, gesturing for him to take a seat that an indeedee brushes off for him despite it already being clean. Once he took his seat "Do you want any refreshments or snacks?" she said gesturing that her indeedee would bring him what he would like. [break][break]

She wasn't exactly aware why the new head researcher of the weather institute wanted to meet with her, but the potential of making a friend there was too valuable to pass up.

“You know, this place doesn’t look anything like a closet. I don’t know what the receptionist was talking about.” Quinn commented as he took a seat opposite Yui Fujin Silph , the soft smile of greeting still adorning his face. “I’m okay, thank you! I’m actually meeting a friend for dinner after this meeting.” She was younger than he expected someone of her renown to be, then again he was the same in that regard.

“I’m not sure how much you know about our current project at the Weather Institute, but we’re running into some specific snags with our machine.” The creation of a weather controlling device wasn’t exactly unknown to the citizens of Hoenn, having been the pioneer project of the institute for nearly a year now. “I hear you are one of the best coders in the region, and we could use your specific skills.”

Of course they still talked about it in the office. She rolled her eyes at them "They nicknamed it that cause no one came to visiting except the janitor to clean and it's secluded so." she said waving it away as they were beneath her anyways. [break][break]
Yui nodded "Ah yes, of course." she said as it was obvious he didn't want to spoil his next meal.
"Indeedee please bring us both water." she said as the indeedee bowed and rushed over out the door to go get water for them as Quinn went onto explain why exactly he visited the code gremlin today. "The weather controlling machine the institute wants to make? Is that so?" she said as she went into thought, that kind of machine would take a lot of time and effort and yui wasn't exactly doing as spectacularly as she used to in silph co due to her spending time outside of work as athena. [break][break]

" I see.." she said as she crossed her legs under the table and Indeedee returned with the two waters and set them on the table before going over to Yui and earning her head pats for a job well done. [break][break]
"I'll be honest it sounds extremely complicated, it might take a lot of time for me to solve the issue you guys are having." she said wondering how bad the situation was exactly with the machine and what he could offer her for helping.

    “Correct.” Quinn nodded in response to her question, accepting the glass from Indeedee with a small smile. “The purpose of Project Delta has been to create a machine that can affect and control the climate of Hoenn.” Reaching into the messenger back on his lap, he produced a laptop adorned with a Castform decal on the back. “We don’t want to play Arceus, but we could change the weather in struggling areas of the region. Drought and Wildfires wouldn’t be a worry anymore, we could dissipate hurricanes before they even make landfall.”

    Quinn’s passion for this project was obvious, the excitement in his voice noticeable even to the most oblivious. “Naturally with a machine so sensitive and precise, a single line of code out of place could cause a blizzard in Sootopolis City or a tornado in Dewford Town.” He pressed a few keys and turned the laptop towards Yui Fujin Silph , scooting the computer closer to her. “We have coders on staff at the Weather Institute but none of them are as good as you. Seeing as I’m Head Researcher on this project, I want to make sure that nothing goes wrong.”

    Code was displayed on the screen, the current write-up that he’d had prepared by the coders of the institute. “The League is willing to pay you a hefty consultants fee to help clean up and supervise the coding, remotely of course. You would have access to the server we keep the code on.”
