"Really?" Quinn's eyes lit up with excitement, practically about to jump out of his seat. "That's awesome!" A smile was now permanently affixed to his features, unable to contain his elation. "We can start working right away! I'm not a coder but the current is kind of a mess..." He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, letting out a small laugh.

"We're hoping to get a proof of concept prototype up and running in a couple months, which I know sounds a little soon, but we'll be happy to give you any support you need!" That included financial support, but that was sort of implied, no one expected Yui to work for free. Of course, the whole thing wouldn't matter anyways if a meteor destroyed them in the coming months. "It's gonna be so cool working with you, Yui!"

Quinn whistled a soft tune as he crossed the rope bridge near the Weather Institute, enjoying the sunshine and melodic chirps of Chatot in the nearby jungle. With the advent of the weather machine on the horizon, he'd been wrapped up in work from dawn until dusk, but today he allowed himself the freedom of movement. Besides, giving his research assistant the day off would probably save him from the unending ire of the Gardevoir. 

It was in this euphoric bliss that Quinn heard a familiar voice from the ridge beneath him, glancing down to see the face of Casey Fincher staring up at him. "Oh, hey! Casey, right?" He was able to recite the name without missing a beat, always having had a gift for remembering names and faces. "It's been a while! Still chasing down wild Mankey?" It certainly looked like the man had been through the wringer, but he didn't want to point it out incase there was some underlying trauma.

Sliding down the ladder, he accepted the offer of soda with a smile on his face, cracking open the can and taking a small sip. "How are you?"

A telekinetic bubble surrounded Quinn as the Pokémon came rushing through, created by his assistant to spare her the misery of listening to the scientist whine about being covered in sand. "Thanks, Lucy!" Quinn offered a small smile towards the Gardevoir before peering out at the Pokémon that leapt into the water, giggling slightly. "Were you every like that, Lu-..."

No barrier to protect him from the onslaught of sand this time as Frey came splashing down on the ground beside him, kicking up a veritable flood of the grainy earth into his face. After a moment of sputtering, Quinn stood up from his towel and offered a hand towards the fallen individual. "You alright? Took a pretty big spill!"

Quinn couldn't help but chuckle at James' request. "It's more to prevent large-scale weather catastrophes from hitting Hoenn, buuuut...I could maybe calibrate it for a romantic evening for you and your partner." He offered a playful wink, grabbing onto his phone and looking over the reading that was being uploaded to the device. 

"Everything seems good, and just in time." Quinn glanced up at the incoming insects, a small smile tugging at his lips as he watched them begin their mating season.

JAMES BAKER

"Oh me?" Quinn wasn't the kind to brag on himself, but Ollie wanted to know what he'd been doing since school. "Well, I'm currently one of the lead researchers at the Weather Institute, actually." He rubbed the back of his head and offered a sheepish smile, eyes diverted away as they walked. 

"In fact, I'm running a pretty important project right now, but I can't talk too much about it." As much as he wanted to go on and on about the weather machine, he was supposed to keep the development under wraps for the most part, especially with the increased presence of Team Rocket around the region.
