over the past few weeks greyson has grown used to the posturing of wild pokemon. self-appointed alphas determined to subvert the authority of others through combat. when the scrafty walks onto the trail, blocking his path, greyson simply sighs.

he releases autumn onto the field, nudging his head in the direction of her opponent. her maw pulls back into a grin, canine digits pulling a misshapen wand from the bulk of her fur. she watches the dark- and fighting-type pokemon approach rapidly, but calmly raises her instrument and begins to weave it smoothly in a practiced motion in front of her.

a bead of flame appears before the delphox, then another, and another, until a full circle of them are laid out. greyson's eyes narrow, catching a flicker of violet in the marble sized orbs. with a final motion, the conductor calls the show to an end. the beads connect into a tunnel of MYSTICAL FIRE that shoots forward, enveloping the scrafty.

when it clears greyson's chuckling, catching sight of the pokemon hauling ass. he'd be licking those wounds for a long time to come.

"thanks, autumn. care to join me for a walk?"

the next pokemon they come across reacts first, emerging from the brush to SUCKER PUNCH his delphox. one lands successfully on her maw, scuffing it slightly, but the rest hit empty air. rage threatens to overtake her, but a CALM MIND dulls the hot emotion to a smolder. the tip of her wand takes on the different shades of night, vacuuming the air around it like a blackhole. the empowered SHADOW BALL flies forward, catching the stunky in it's ribs.

it too scampers off to lick the wounds it's pride was responsible for.

autumn flicks her wand up in a rude gesture but greyson only laughs.

"come on, we're almost there."
