greyson returns the handshake.

"i'm personally a fan of singles. two, maybe three pokemon max, depending on how we're feeling. how's that sound?"

he returns kazimir's enthusiasm with a giddy grin.

"i know what you mean. i'm itching for a fight."

"type advantage. this will be fun," he says, not backing down.

"i'll start us off then."

poliwrath steps forward, a challenging glint in his eyes. last time he fought against an opponent who had the advantage, he nearly won. his hope was to change the outcome this time.

"give us the advantage arco!" greyson commands.

his pokemon obeys. raising his hand, he shoots a glob of condensed water into the sky, his RAIN DANCE turning the beautiful day into one covered by storm clouds. beneath the cover of the rain fall, his SWIFT SWIM ability kicks in, absorbing the extra moisture into his muscles.

he'd move much faster than a moment ago.

like his previous battle with DANNY HALL , he puts his type-disadvantage behind him with AMNESIA, thrusting it from his mind. properly prepared, he closes the distance.

in his time as a trainer, greyson has seen many things. a human being walk through fire, pokemon call down thunder like mythical gods of old, and so much more. he still couldn't hold back his amazement as the world around him changes and shapes itself into a paradise of flora.

as beautiful as it was though, it also meant that his opponent's pokemon would be stronger. it already had the type-advantage. this only furthered the fact he'd have to play smart to win this.

but when his opponent makes a mistake, greyson grins.

"did you forget? powder doesn't work well in the rain!"

a little friendly banter never hurt anyone, did it?

and it's true. as the powder releases into the air, the RAIN DANCE formed storm clouds drench it, effectively neutering it.

unmolested in his approach now, the poliwrath releases a pair of DYNAMIC PUNCHES. if any of them manage to hit, confusion would be inevitable.

the sound of the poliwrath's fist connecting with the grass-type was beautiful. not because he enjoyed watching pokemon injure themselves, but, because his plan had worked!

"good work arco!" he yells encouragingly over the harsh rain. "keep it up!"

despite the opponent's small disposition, she could easily handle the poliwrath if he allowed her room to breathe.

arco coouldn't let up.

with a hefty stomp, empowered by a body quite literally one hundred percent muscle, arco's EARTH POWER travels through the earth and directly under the confused and prone blossom. he wills the ground beneath her to rise as if she was on the other end of a seesaw, aiming to toss her into the air.

hopefully slightly airborne, he holds his chest open for a HYDRA PUMP to further keep the pressure going, its strength only empowered by the RAIN DANCE pelting the battlefield.

greyson's jaw sets, teeth clenching. he sucks in a long breath, holds it for a moment, then releases it.

"defend! then follow up with another punch."

his voice carries, the salty rain inevitably getting into his mouth. he spits it out and wipes at his lips fruitlessly. the rain had no end in sight.

arco's arms went up into a crossguard, thick muscles and veins bulging, visible on his cobalt skin. the PETAL BLIZZARD swarms him like combee to honey, slicing his skin up in a dozen places at least.

assessing himself, he discovers that they were flesh wounds, mostly, though, a few did leave blood stained trails travelling down his body. he simply grunts in acknowledgement, pushing onwards before the they hamper him further.

he shuffles on his feet in the direction of the blossom, raising both of his gloved fists in front of him.

One.

Two.

Both DYNAMIC PUNCHES are short jabs outwards, each as quick as the last.

he had to admit— he was impressed.

the grass-type was proving to a be hell of an opponent, simply for staying standing during arco's onslaught. he knew the blossom was on the back foot, but that doesn't mean the poliwrath himself wasn't feeling the strain of keeping the offensive up as heavily as he was. greyson chewed the inside of his cheek, mind formulating ideas to end this quicker.

he had only one.

"all or nothing arco— let's do this!"

there needed to be no affirmation, but the poliwrath grunted anyways. once more he kicks up a puddles worth of water as he races forward towards the battered blossom. with one hand he begins a thunderous BELLY DRUM that vibrates the very earth beneath his feet, and with the other, a massively empowered DYNAMIC PUNCH.

the recoil would be battle-changing. that's why this needed to hit.
