He’d heard the stories from other Rangers who had come from colder regions—specifically the one called Sinnoh, where the northern part of the region was constantly buried under deep snow drifts.

“They melt it with salt!”

At that moment, his Glastrier had bucked upwards, surprised at the sudden attack that came lashing out from underneath its feet.

Bringing its hooved feet down, a similar Icicle Crash is mirrored back at the other equine, who looked ready to lose its shit.

First the DOUBLE KICK clips Anderson’s chin. Then the follow-up ICICLE CRASH knocks it off balance. His rash, bully of a horse stumbles back in the sand, knocked out primarily by his own hot temper. [break][break]

Angelo returns his pokemon in beam of light while the Laurence Anderson Fanclub on the side goes wild. Blue eyes catch sight of a familiar face amongst the spectators, skyler dross’s Aunt Jules (thankfully) looking only in the Head Ranger’s direction. [break][break]

Guess losing had its perks sometimes. [break][break]

The explosion of ice blinded him for a few moments, causing him to hold up his hands to protect against the flash of white.

He was fully prepared to lose—

However, as the shroud of white cleared, Angelo’s own equine had disappeared, and his own was left standing, pawing at the sand nervously.

“Did you just—” he said, blinking a few moments before clicking his tongue softly for the Glastrier to calm down as he approached to grab the icy reins with his other hand.

He thought he saw a few of the ‘fan club’ that had gathered around to watch their fight looking at him with… a certain look, before he shook his head slightly and shoved the hair that had fallen into his line of vision back.

“Look, man, I don’t even know what my match with Sky’s going to look like,” he added with a smirk.

“Also, you take that back. I used to be the saltiest man alive in Hoenn. Not anymore.”

Lars wins this match!
