The United Regions had been publishing documents since its founding. At one time, the printing presses of the organization ran 24 hours a day to keep up with the UR's publishing needs. But times had certainly changed since then.

UR documents often included resolutions from legislative bodies, such as the General Assembly, Security Council, and the Economic and Social Council, which often contained a work mandate to be carried out by the UR Secretariat, or the UR system. Additionally, reports of the UR Secretary-General assessed the state of the organization and announced new work initiatives. Access to cases and rulings by the International Court of Justice, the main judicial body of the UR, were made available to all ambassadors.

Remiel's duties often included going over these documents, meeting records, summaries of conferences, UR reports, treaties, new Pokémon legislature and more. Today, however, the Galarian ambassador was busy putting the finishing touches on an international proposal. At least... he was. Up until the moment his Sinistea opened the door to his office and escorted a familiar face inside, none other than his childhood friend:

The prince sets down his pen, his expression mostly indifferent despite the gleam of curiosity in his cobalt blue eyes. "Arthur... quite the unexpected surprise." He rises from his seat, calmly walking out from behind his desk to offer the lad a shake of his hand.

"How long have you been in Hoenn?"

Polite greetings and inquiries were, of course, cast to the wayside with Artie almost immediately. Remiel really should have known better. Tough he supposed he hadn't exactly had much interaction his childhood friend over the past year. Quite enough time to briefly forget such mannerisms, especially when immersed in the world of politics.

He drops his hand, instead using it to move his jacket back and hook to a pant loop, just against his right hip. "Texts? What texts?" He sighs, briefly considering picking up the cell phone he'd left at his desk but deciding not to. There were too many texts.

"You must know I'm better with phone calls, my friend. Or mail."

[break][break] Polite, esteemed, polished — all words Mother would have used to describe the Galarian prince. Even Artie at a certain time might have used those words — when he'd been a blushing teenager, still crushing after the region's crown royalty. But now that Artie was older (read: only like, a few years older than before), he knew better.

[break][break] "Texts? What texts?"

[break][break] A laugh puffed out of the Circhester heir. Okay, that was cute. Remy was always cute.

[break][break] Artie crossed the threshhold to hug his childhood friend — though, in Artie's case, it was less of a hug and more of an attempt at throwing his arm around the other in a casual hold, beaming. "Right, right. Forgot — your mom's better about texts than you, y'know. At least she replies to me." He laughs, as if he hadn't just dropped a bomb, and detaches himself from the other.

[break][break] He walks over to the desk that Remy had just been behind, immediately busying himself with being nosy. His hand slides across one of the papers, most likely messing up the other, splaying his hand against them as he looks up. "Always busy with work as usually, Remy," he says. The way someone else said it might have been a compliment.

[break][break] The way Artie says it, however, is clearly teasing.

Nonchalant eyes widen with mild shock when Artie strides forward to cast an arm upon him. Remiel grunts with discomfort, but bears it for a moment— at least until his old friend mentions his mother. He rolls his eyes halfway before expertly slipping out of the blonde's grasp. "We both know that's not true."

The royal crosses his arms as the younger man strides towards his desk, sifting through papers halfheartedly. "As the Galarian Ambassador, I've no shortage of it." He responds, the nature of Artie's teasing going straight over his head. "And you, Arthur? Are you in Hoenn for business or pleasure?" He wondered if he'd filed the paperwork.

[attr="class","textbox"] The mention of the Hammerlocke Queen has the desired effect. It makes poor Remiel uncomfortable, grumbling away like he had when they were kids. It was one of the many things he could rely on when it came to pushing Remy's buttons — which was always so fun.

[break][break] Even after all these years, it never got old.

[break][break] Then again, Remy held the same power over him too.

[break][break] His nose wrinkles at the use of his proper name. "It's Artie, and you know it," he says with a rare scowl. His father is Arthur. "If you must, call me Finnian at the very least, "old friend"." He says the last words by sticking on his tongue, mimicking the exact way that Remiel would say it. Prestigous, stuffy, full of royal-court-voice.

[break][break] He decides to jump into the empty chair, swiveling in a circle before turning back to Remy, leaning back. "What about both?" he says, throwing his feet upon the desk.
