It was a calm Sunday morning. Many people were still in their homes at this time, catching up on sleep this weekend morning.
Lucas, who woke at the same time he did any other morning was not one of these people. Already up for hours at this point he's out and about. Cold wind licks his cheeks as he walks through the newly fallen snow on route 116. Shoe prints distinctly outlined. He was seemingly alone in the winter terrain. No pokemon by his side, no chirping of bird pokemon in the air. Just pure silence.[break][break]

It was bliss.

Lucas reaches up to cover his face as he yawns. A dangerous thing during the winter months. According to a folktale those that succumb to these urges and fall asleep are prey for Regice. Whispers of warmth found in sleep tempting both young and old alike. Lying down in the heart of winter was when the ice titan got you. Stunning you with their frost breath. A chilling tale, one that he found himself thinking back to. Whether it was fact or fiction held little sway in how fascinating it was. It was a folktale he’d tell to his children, and they their children. [break][break]

Off the path he walks a grumpig lay by a tree resting, succumbing to the warmth of sleep. Time will tell if the ice titan finds it.

Trees stand starkly in the winter terrain. Their color a welcome change to the bleak snow. Lucas' head tilts upwards, looking towards the sky. Snow had begun to fall. Flakes dotted the sky, each a beautiful and intricate shape. He looks in awe, as if never seeing snow before. It was peaceful bliss. As time passes by he can barely make out the sun in the sky. The falling snow obscures his vision. Once he could see far across the snow covered route, now only a few feet ahead. [break][break]

A pokemon makes its way through the sudden snow fall, befalling the same predicament as the scientist. It couldn't see anything past a few feet. Kangaskhan and his child, carried in his pouch. A protective father that would go to the ends of the world to care for his babe. Lost on his way home. It trudges through the snow the same as Lucas, both trying to find their way.[break][break]
