"Again!"

The aerodactyl unhinged its jaw. From its jaws emanated a grey light which grew brighter over a few seconds. Once at its peak a hyper beam tinged with grey shot out the aerodactyl's mouth. The beam collided with a heatran that was scurrying by, sending it crashing into a bubbling pool of magma.

Like cockroaches the four Heatran scurried out the snaking cracks in the wall. Angered by the group's presence the four of them attacked within moments.

Quickly Lucas opened his fanny pack and released an aerodactyl. Seconds after it materialized its body contorted. Skin peeled away as rock encrusted bones jut out all along its body.

"Hyper Beam!"

Lucas released the tyrantrum, which shook its body from head to toe on release.

"Dragon tail." Lucas echoed the command Bailey had given her Kapow. Streaks of brown energy surround the tyrantrum's tail and dissipate upon colliding with the rock.

Lucas Lane's hand shot back into the fanny pack. He sifts through the pokeballs for a split second before retrieving one, which he swapped out for his current pokemon's.

"Mirror Shot," he barked. In response the ferrothorn secreted a liquid from between its plates. It ran down the metal plating that enveloped its body. Which caused it to reflect the light in the room into a mirror shot.

"Oh thank god, oh thank god," Lucas said between deep breaths. "You okay Noelle?"

Lucas tapped the release on a pokeball. In a flash of red light a tiny omanyte materialized by his left foot. "Hydro pump!"

The entirety of the omanyte's body shuddered as it mustered up a hydro pump to collide into the molten mass.

Lucas' face contorted for a moment when he saw the salamance fly from its post onto the field.

Lucas made gestures toward himself with his hands. "Come! Come here" He shouted moments after the salamance entered the field. The vikavolt's wings began to radiate a buzzing sound as they flapped faster but stopped abruptly at the salamance's roar. Vikavolt turned its whole body back to see the salamance just as it'd unleash flames from its unhinged jaw.

The flames rolled across the vikavolt's body and sent it plummeting to the ground below. Its head faced Alexei and twitched with life, a sign it wasn't yet fainted. From Lucas' angle he saw an unmoving body, unable to recognize its slight movements, and thus returned the vikavolt with one hand while releasing an aerodactyl with the other.

"Thunder fang!"

Lucas Lane's aerodactyl flew through the air with its jaws unhinged and coated in a thin veil of sparking electricity.

Lucas watched on in silence from that point on as the pairing moved to and fro. Just like Persephone he held a hand clutched to his chest as the pokemon danced. Lucas watched attentively as Queen spun Nigel and caused the water's surface to ripple.

"Aren't they beautiful?"

With the rubble cleared Lucas returned his aerodactyl just moments before he felt the first quake. The fissure that followed snaked across the floor faster than he could react. In seconds the floor under Lucas Lane crumbled beneath his weight and he began to yell as he plummeted into the cavern system below.

As Lucas plummeted he began to move his free hand as if he were directing an orchestra. The initial movement mustered invisible stealth rocks, and the subsequent directed the stones to break the group's fall.
