The soft amber lights of the main foyer seemed to intensify with her glare. No, Remiel certainly wasn't oblivious to the look she'd given him. It was part of the reason he'd let go sooner rather than later. And why he'd been careful not to apply too much pressure.[break][break]

Regardless, the admin simply raises a brow and turns away, seizing the whiskey bottle once more. Though it seems he's about to pour himself another round, however, his hand instead reaches for its top and corks it with a single, strong push from his palm. This little spontaneous social visit had suddenly soured it seemed, lingering like the aftertaste of the brie in his mouth. He supposed they should try and get some sleep again.[break][break]

she should have left it at that.

she should have really just walked away, but stubbornness (and perhaps guilt) made her pause. it was a brief one, staring at his face for a few seconds before gathering her items. the hefty books were carried by her thin frame expertly as she placed them one after another in her arms. why did she care? why did she even open her mouth? Siobhan didn't even know. the fact his stone-faced expression came back instead of his laughter confused the fuck out of her.

"I" she says "will see you there" Siobhan would confirm the location promptly, sliding off her seat and beginning to walk away. but damn, she had to complicate things. she had to open her big fat mouth again. "and" she does not look at Remiel, her back is turned to the man "I am sorry" fuck, why was this so hard? "you surprised me, that is all." and she didn't like to be touched without consent, even if he had been overly dramatic or whatever.

humans were best left in the dark, but Remiel was trying with her. why? what did he get out of it? how would she 'enhance' his life? he had so much already. what was one often lonely woman to him? her heels clacked as she walked away, back to her room.

She leaves her second glass of whiskey full; the cheese untouched. With a short hum, he grabs the red lid and seals the tray shut with a snap. Siobhan finishes gathering her books in her arms and slides off her stool shortly thereafter. Then, she stops.[break][break]

Her apology comes as a surprise, though her body language does not. It's all a somewhat confusing cocktail of behavior, really. So much so, in fact, that the admin can't even bring himself to say anything before she walks off. He's left alone at the main foyer bar, in silence, with nothing but his cheese and her unemptied glass of whiskey.[break][break]

He drinks the latter before walking back to his chambers with the former. Something tells him he'll be thinking of Isra tonight.[break][break]
