rubbing his ankle, jayden watches as the wimipod skimpers away into the undergrowth. not that he minds. he is more concerned with the fact that he was caught off-guard. he makes a mental note to up his training regimen, to add more traps to make sure this does not happen again.

[break][break] as he's doing so, however, there is a yelp that draws his attention. it is not a yelp of pain as much as it is one of victory — he turns his head just in time to see freek. a foot away from his thievul is the same dratini that had been chased off moments ago.

[break][break] the rocket stands up, and the theivul leaps — he aims a SUCKER PUNCH with both his paws, to clasp around the creature before it can run away this time. if successful, jayden will throw a ball at it to complete the capture.
