Such wildlife conservation efforts had begun to interest Eliora, as something she might like to get into. The idea of joining the rangers didn’t appeal to her, mostly because of the frequent need for battling, but these other things which they did… like taking care of Sealeo; that sounded like a nice gig.

Ellie gasped as the fire shot down the Cutiefly. A hand came up to her chest, and there was a sad look on her face. This was how trainers caught their pokemon, often times. It was never worth it to say much, but it did elicit a faintly disapproving sigh.

Any real damage. Right…

“It’s a little violent for me, to be honest.”

Her hand came down and she her head towards her Milotic, wanting to leave the conversation, but not the type to simply walk off. The sweet smell of a Spritzee caught her attention, and she looked up to find it levitating in the air close to them.

“Hello.” Her voice was friendly, and her attention turned to it fully. It gave a small cry and floated back a bit. “No need to be afraid.” She turned eyes on the ranger briefly, hoping she wouldn’t attack. The Spritzee gave a curious look, and got closer, closer…

Ellie raised a hand, and it perched on a finger, and they stared at one another. She did have a certain way—and not a threatening bone in her body. Perhaps it could be sensed.

Tallulah looked a bit sheepish when Eliora looked shocked that Beau attacked the Cutiefly. "I'll be sure t' give it medical attention" why was she explaining when everyone fought to obtain Pokémon? don't rightly know. the look on the woman's face made her guilty a bit. retrieving the Pokeball from her Arcanine, she nods as she listens.

"aye" she agrees, glancing back at the battling folks "guess I ain't in it for glory" she shrugs "I'd really only partake if m' Pokémon wanted to" let the Elite Four and the Gym Leaders have 'glory and honor. Tallulah was just fine doing her own thing. "besides, someone has to work." she grins, not at all bothered by Eliora's admission.

Ellie was glad to hear the bee fly would at least be medically tended to. She nodded vaguely, as though compromising rather than approving. She had a Cutiefly, and they were especially loved.

“Well, that’s alright, I guess.” She said, of the battling. If the pokemon were enjoying themselves, at least there was that. It was a sport, and there were rules and regulations to keep things safe; this was what she’d been told over and over. Still, it was hard for her to watch.

It was then that a Clefairy wandered past. Ellie’s attention was especially drawn, because of her Clefable. It was quiet, and seemed lonely. Maybe if she could convince the Clefairy to come with them, Clefable wouldn’t seem so sad all the time. They could stare the moon together.

“A Clefairy.” She pointed out. “I have a Clefable. I wonder if they’d get along.”

Reaching a pokeball, she released said fairy. Immediately, its attention was captivated. ’Clefable…’

It wandered over to befriend the other.

Tallulah nods. Beau and her other Pokemon didn't seem interested in the Tournament; they were like her. when there was work to be done, they got it done. there was little time to relax when this event ran its course. someone had to keep everyone else safe. she had no ego about it either; it was a job. she had to do her job.

"honestly" she says idly, scratching her cheek "yer one of t' first I've met in Hoenn" outside of co-workers and casual meets "I'm pretty new here" Tallulah admits with a grin "but they work me like I'm an old plow horse, aye?" she chuckles "guess I should get back soon. ya okay here, Eliora?"

The Spritzee still hovering close was collected into a pokeball. It seemed the two moon fairies were getting along as well, chattering and gesturing with their small hands as if in a very interesting and lively conversation.

Ellie smiled warmly back at the woman’s grin, and nodded.

“Sure. Yup, all good here.” She gave a small tilt of her head, wondering if she’d seemed as though she were in danger before. “Well, I hope you enjoy Hoenn. Don’t let them overwork you.”

Eliora didn't seem to be in danger and that wasn't why Tallulah asked if she was okay. felt odd to just up and leave someone you were having a conversation with; but she had to really get back to work. with a few Pokeballs now having critters inside of them, she felt more confident in Hoenn.

"aye, thank ye kindly" she smiles; it is warmer now "enjoy the rest of yer day." she lifts a tanned hand to wave as she walks, content in the encounter. maybe they'd meet again. maybe soon or maybe later. either way, it was a good beginning to the day.
