Despite knowing that he wouldn't be able to be apart of the labs for a bit, Pryde still made it a point to visit. Even spoke with one of his old men Yuan Wright. The man was an infuriating genius to say the least but it got him info about the simple ins and outs of what was going on. It's what got him the other's ID to allow him a chance to see the going ons for now. [break][break]

Its how he found himself in an almost empty. Red eyes narrowed as at this hour no one but the Head Scientists should be here. Though who he saw he is very much sure isn't the head scientist as the resembled more of a red gremlin than anything else. He silently walks over and it doesn't take him long to notice that this is a copying of data and he is quick to reach out and remove the data device with his metallic arm.[break][break]

"I don't think you have the clearance for this child," his voice is cold, as he stares down at her.

Legends said it could share an eternal life, that it had slept for a thousand years in the form of a tree. She had heard the rumours of pokemon being resurrected, went to explore the exact graveyard in which the phenomenon had been observed. As far as she had understood the laws of this world, legends passed down through generations and fairy tales were often rooted in a sense of reality.

Her eyes flicker across the running lines of information, snatching important details from its midst as she allows the data to duplicate itself onto her storage device. bryan delarosa, Mt Pyre, zombies, Miles Sharp... At some point, she'd even caught a glimpse of Chu-e Choi's name, making a mental note to follow up on the topic when they had dinner later.

A flash of red on the screen, yet another wall to break through. Without an official title of researcher to her name, Eris knows that her position in the organisation won't get her far enough in her pursuits of knowledge. And so she begins to work at it, taking a moment to dissect the puzzle before her and even shorter to crack into the system. Finally, the much wanted data begins to load up, Priam and Bryan's name popping up once more before she's burnt for wandering to close to the truth.

Rather than answer the obvious question in her eyes Raphael simply moves to turn off the computer, “You’re quite lucky you’re not in Kanto little lady,” he comments as he puts away the flash drive to check later just what she was looking into. [break][break]

Such was the way of survival in the wastelands, deranged hoarders willing to go to extremes just to protect their stock. She'd nearly gotten her leg bitten off by a ravenous Absol once and had bore witness to the fates of many that weren't quite as fortunate or successful as she was. There wasn't a need to know what he meant by Rocket standards when she was sure that it was about the same as the standards of living hell.

There is a small chuckle that comes from Pryde hearing the child's answer. Clearly she was more aware than what her age let on. As to be expected of a child of Rocket. However she wasn't informed enough. [break][break]

"Please death is so primitive and savage, no no no," he shakes his head as his metal arm makes a grab for her wrist. "And my methods have always been a little different from the other head scientist of the past, though there is always one thing in common," without another word a SHOCKWAVE from the Rotom in his arm would flow through her. It wasn't a hard shock as he would make sure his pokemon held back, but she would be sorry if she thought this was the end. [break][break]

The way he grabs her wrists triggers an instincts she's long suppressed. Adrenaline courses through her veins like a ravenous serpent, tearing through a helpless façade as she finally snaps back. Twisting her body, she slides a foot between his legs and hooks it behind his right. Then she pushes, slamming her entire weight against the man in hopes of flooring him.

Even the shockwave does little to deter her in her heightened state, only weakening her advances right after she exerts all her energy. She's gasping for air, yet no screams will be heard even as her knees buckle under her. Silence is golden in the wastelands, anything that would ensure you wouldn't give your position away. As she looks to the man, there's barely a flicker of emotions in her eyes, only an emptiness that seeks to analyse just what she's up against.

Programmed for defense, his arm moves faster than the old man himself can manage to move. The kick hitting his leg rather than her actual target. And while her hooking his leg is successful, Pryde has much more experience than the some child. Rather than letting himself fall he moves his leg and brings her close to knee her in the gut. After he would twist her arm before slamming her into the table with no remorse. This time making sure to pin her properly so she couldn’t move. “I steal something from them,” he comments simply as if he weren’t interrupted. [break][break]

”Kids your age their first kill, but seeing how you answered your hands already have blood don’t they?” he comments before one hand flicks one of her thumbs, “Another is a finger, I can let you choose which”

The scientist just sighs at the girl's constant struggling. He might as well be talking to a ribid Poochyena with her like this. He thinks for a moment of Cillian Quinn, and his policy of 'can't be bloodthirsty without reason.' Honestly theft was reason enough for him. Though from his interactions with newer rockets most seemed to lack a certain something. [break][break]

Even as wild as the girl was he wasn't going to make progress like this. [break][break]

He moves his hand away from her, while the metal arm made sure to keep her pinned down. Searching until he found something squishy yet metallic. Odd, he takes hold of whatever it was to see. [break][break]

After he would step back and toss her away from the computers. From his pouch he calls for his Pyroar as back up, “And what’s this?”

It's terrifying enough to be caught in a position where you're unable to fight back, even more so if it results in others getting hurt as well. As he rifles through her pockets for something, her struggling gets even more violent, a desperation borne of the need to break free.

But she fails to do so, a panicked chirp chilling her to the core as she ungracefully slams onto the ground.

"Mer... cury..." Even as air is abruptly knocked out of her lungs, she doesn't give herself time to process the pain at all. Forced to get back onto her feet, she wobbles just slightly at the sharp sting that shoots up her leg.

She's like a moth drawn to the wildfires, reckless and uncaring if it means being able to grasp what matters most to her. As Mercury screeches and tries to retaliate against its with a Flash Cannon, Eris is leaping right at him with the intent to scratch and maim.

Defense protocols take place over it's master's curiosity. Sensing danger it would remove itself from the arm in order to make their master move before taking the STEEL BEAM in his stead. While hurt it would find itself hanging on, if only. Showing just how powerful the metal creature was. Rotom would retaliate with a SHOCKWAVE in return.[break][break]

Meanwhile, having predicted the child would try something, the female Pyroar pounces at Eris. the cat making sure to pin her down before she dare reached her master. The growl the Pyroar promised pain should her master command. Meanwhile Pryde corrects himself having only narrowly avoiding the attack thanks to his Rotom's efforts. "If you wish to still have a trainer I would suggest you stand down," Raphael warns the steel pokemon as he knows his Pyroar would take her life. She wouldn't be the first, nor would she be the last. [break][break]

After he would focus on the girl, "You attempted to take from the labs, and now I take from you," he tells her as he brings out a Musharna to have it use HYPNOSIS on Meltan to put it to sleep. "But don't worry you can have it back, if you show that you can behave." Raphael looks down to her. [break][break]

"Is that understood?" he wasn't a man without some mercy.

They haven't been together for long, haven't gotten to know one another very well. But in that moment where they're forced to watch each other sit just within death's grasp, the duo freeze in their own struggles. As the Meltan falls victim to the Hypnosis, Eris is still trying her best to resist fate, trying to knock the Pyroar off of her but struggling to no avail.

"Give Mercury back." she spits, her will remaining untattered as she snarls at the aggressor. It doesn't matter if he has the upper hand at the moment, some part of her simply does not wish to yield to a proud man wielding underhanded tactics. "It's not gonna listen to you ever and neither am I."

Even if he intends to break her arm or leave a scar, she's not planning to bow her head to him ever.
