Keenan is the middle child of three brothers, and lived in Olivine City until he was ten years old. Then his parents moved them to Littleroot Town. His older brother, Derek, is twelve years older than him, and is a Pokemon breeder. Derek moved back to Olivine, and Keenan still considers Olivine as his hometown. They brought Houndour with them, and he'd him for years. Spheal was the result of his parents' Pokemon and his older brother. Beldum Sizzilipede was given to him as graduation presents from Derek, and his dad gave him Tyrunt to "keep him in line." Grubbin was a lost wild pokemon that Keenan had befriended. He was a bit shocked to already have a full team, but was ready to go. His younger brother, who was four years younger than him, decided to come with, and brought a laptop to do his schoolwork and still participate.

Keenan is a headstrong kid with no direction on what he wants to do in his life. Hence why he wanted to go on an adventure, though didn't expect his family to gift him half his team. He still fully intends to go out and take on the Gym Leaders of Hoenn. He's generally nice and respectable, and seems to care for his Pokemon. He is slightly on the quiet side, but seems to get along with most people.

Keenan seems to be able to project his voice, and has pretty good coordination. He has good potential to be a Pokemon Coordinator, but hasn't shown any interest in the field. He's also not a picky eater, but does love his fresh seafood and fruits. He's affectionate towards his siblings, especially his younger brother, and kind of dotes on him. He's also open about his preferences. Keenan can often be found playing catch with his Houndour or caring for his Pokemon while making small talk with his little brother.
