Shin explained that most people he'd met had been out of the restaurant business. Not quite what he'd meant, but still nice to know that maybe he's been going out more. Aside from agreeing about there being a lot to be grateful for, Shin asked who gave him his first gym badge. "Greyson Connors. He's not a gym leader anymore, deciding to step away and focus on his ranger duties. I don't remember what city he was in...I just know that his non-traditional challenge was brutal. Recreating a potential disaster for you to go through in a city. Mine was a Rayquaza attack. Josh Devlin gave me my second. And I hope to eventually challenge Hideo Kino since he took up shop in Littleroot, where my parents live. Ace already got Hideo's, a traditional double battle. I saw that one and cheered him on. And I hope to eventually get a rematch with noah faber too..." That was a sight to behold against the little Littleroot Gym Leader. A Paldean Rabsca and Galerian Slowbro vs Trevenant and Magnezone, two of Aaron's oldest partners.

The subject soon changed, and he could see Shin's face match his hair. So adorable. "Sounds like she likes to battle. Or the attention..." Or both. Shin started to lead them further into the house, speaking all the while. The blonde was looking around, careful not to put anything out of place. Kee had to chuckle at the Aunt. Sweet thing...just forgot that Shin was blind. "Her heart's in the right place at least. And if they're mostly books, they're going to be heavy. So let's go Makuhita, Lucario, and Pawmot!" Kee released the three fighting Pokemon out. After giving them instructions to go to Kee so he could read what they're labelled as, the three went to work, even as Kee also started. The first one was cook books. Makuhita brought a box that also said cook books. Lucario found the Braille box, or at least one of them, and Pawmot found another box that they were turning around trying to find some writing on it...

Shin reminded him that there was another one just around the corner. Then he mentioned about not participating last year due to not knowing anyone. "Well, now you know at least two people! I bet you get pretty busy at the restaurant though..." Taking a loved one out on such a day was very romantic. And popular, even nowadays. Rubbing the back of his head, he responded. "Yeah, I had just gotten done getting my first gym badge. So I guess I was grateful about a lot of things and towards certain people and Pokemon at the time." It was quite a harrowing experience...that first one. While he hadn't gotten involved in any major conflict, he did have a greater appreciation for the League members that put their lives on the line. Not just against legnedary Pokemon, but also Team Rocket.

As if summoned by the chastising of his grassy little guy, Shin's own little one showed up. The Alolan Vulpix! "Yep! You used her when we went hunting together, right? She's a cutie...just like her trainer." She seemed possessive of the red head, not that he'd blame her. Kee also put his Shaymin down, who was still huffing about not able to try out a new head. "Sound great! You lead, I follow." Maybe he'd get a little bit of a tour as well. Depending how much needed to be done, he may introduce a few more of his Pokemon to Shin.

A flustered Shin was a cute Shin. The cutie stepped aside, letting Keenan in. "I'm doing great!" As if his light, melodic humming wasn't a good indication. Though Shin did startle him a little about the Shaymin, making the blonde jump back a bit in a funny position. The noise made Shaymin wake up and yawn loudly. "In some Palintines event, they handed out flower seeds. One of them looked odd enough that I asked around. One suggested planting it in a couple of particular areas and taking care of it. some stuff happened, and I ended up following a trail to a grove filled with Gracidea Flowers. After planting mine, a group of Shaymin revealed themselves, with this one challenging me to a battle. It was kind of tough fighting it while making sure no to little damage was done to the garden..."

He still wasn't entirely sure what happened. Or where he even went. It was such a strange ordeal. Suddenly, a green blob lunged for Shin's head. Thankfully, Kee was fast enough to grab and catch the little guy. "Shaaaaymin! No! You can't be on Shin's head without permission!" As Kee was scolding the hedgehog, it was making wierd noises of complaints. When Keenan turned the guy around so he was belly up, the blonde snorted trying to hold in his laughter. Shaymin had its front paws/legs crossed, cheeks puffed out and glaring at Kee. The little guy really wanted to be on Shin's head.

Lilycove was a beautiful place. Keenan had only been here a handfull of times. Usually for shopping. But now he had a new reason to come by. Well, a few new reasons. Such as visiting his boyfriend's restaurant. And helping him clean his house! For the task, he had his Shaymin, who was snoring soundly on top of his head, Makuhita, Wartortle, Pawmot, and Lucario. In typical Keenan fashion, the boy took longer than he had planned to actually find the place. But he managed to find the place. Knocking loudly, the blonde just waited for Shin to arrive. And when he did, Kee blushed at the smile. Definitely a good thing the red head was blind. "Goooood morning! And how is my lovely Shin doing this fine morning?!"

Shaymin was still snoring softly, but Shin could probably hear the cute little guy. "Oh, that's Shaymin on top of my head, asleep. Hopefully they'll wake up in time to help clean. I brought a few other Pokemon to help out, too." Keenan was wearing jeans, pink crocs, a peach colored T-shirt, and a baby blue zip-up hoody. And of course the hedgehog that was on top of the amber eyed guy. And maybe afterwards, they could catch a movie or get a tour of the place. See Shin's favorite places and stuff!

"Don't worry, Ace would take you on at your best." Aaron wanted to face down strong opponents. If they weren't at their best, Aaron would consider the victory mute. What would be the point if both of them weren't at the top of their game? Shin mentioned what he's heard. "I've looked at Noah's gym a few times. Cage match, and a specialty in fighting type Pokemon. I have a Granbul that I think would be fantastic, and a Mimikyu that'd be good there too. I've just yet to make the challenge." He mosty just wanted to teach his Mimikyu a different move than Wood Hammer. But he just hadn't gotten to it.

Shin then mentioned the odd clothing choices. Kee had his own memories of such...outfits. Though for a different reason. "Trying to wear them and move in them is worse. More often than not, anyways." The blonde left how he knew that hanging. Perhaps a conversation for another time. They'd been talking for a while. And the play was over. With nothing else to really do, perhaps it was time to call it a day. And Shin was the first to initiate that. "Same here! Maybe in Lilycove or Littleroot. Can you find your way back?" Probably a bit ironic, considering his own luck and lack of ability to navigate around. With Shin able to get back alright, Kee also exited, excited that he got asked for a second date. Maybe this will go very well indeed...

Kee nodded. Aaron was certainly that. "He wouldn't say no. He's fully aware that not all good trainers take on the gym challenge. He's always up to testing his own abilities and the abilities of his Pokemon." Aaron wasn't always battle hungry, but he observed the sport to a...full on competitor's degree. His ace Trevenant was obnoxiously difficult to take down. "A chance encounter with noah faber allowed Ace to get a gym badge almost right away...I've yet to challenge Noah again. And Ace managed to beat Josh Devlin without losing a single Pokemon. My fight was a win only because of a technicality. He'll give you a very good fight." The elder blonde admired his brother.

Keenan found the shift interesting. But he didn't think it wierd at all. "Not at all. The outfits aren't the entire point anyways, it's the acting and the story. Maybe the outfits distracted you, even though their purpose is to sell the setting. Maybe some of the characters." Depending on the story being told. Like Shin, Kee tried to keep his voice low. Shin's sister was an expert in folklore, huh. Sad that he couldn't meet her. Kee just paid more attention to the play, keeping a closer ear to Shin's reactions so the red head wouldn't startle him again.

Shaymin didn't shy away from the snarl and posturing. It just continued to wave at them. It wasn't a stranger to fighting. It actually quite liked to. And its trainer wasn't bad at all. There was a reason why it decided to stay with him. Although...it did wish Kee would get into more fights. But it also knew that there was a time and a place. So, it tried to defuse the situation via using Sweet Scent. Deception! Sort of. The pink air was a bit...overboard. The air become sickly sweet that soon spread rediculously fast and thick. It did alert Keenan to its location, and a distant yell of its name could be heard. Hearing it, the little grassy bundle looked up at the fierce dragon in front of it. And started to yip at her, asking for both a ride on her head to Shaymin's trainer, as well as an apology for the interruption.

Keenan on the other hand, was trying to find the little guy. And the little guy was no where to be found! He was about to break down and start asking for help when he smelled a sickly sweet smell that was soon so thick that it was making a few people sick. "Shaymin!" He yelled out and started to run towards where it looked like it was coming from. He was on the opposite side of town though...

Keenan had found himself in Lavaridge Town. More for the saunas and hotsprings than anything. With the cooler weather, a few days here seemed like a good idea before going to Lilycove. He hoped he'd surprise shinobu fujimori when he entered the guy's restaurant. A relaxing trip was what he wanted first though. Speaking of hot springs...where were they again? He looked around at the buildings that all looked the same to him. Uh oh. Speaking of...wasn't his head a bit colder now? Reaching a hand to his blonde head, Kee noticed that Shaymin was missing. Double uh oh. Panicking, Keenan started to run around and looking all over the place for his little grassy hedgehog. When did he lose his buddy?!

The little guy was exploring the place on its own. Eventually finding itself on top of a roof, it looked across the town. Something did catch its eye. A big lizard getting looked at by some blonde. It reminded it of how Kee often groomed all of his buddies, including itself. Was all trainers like this? As it tried to get a closer look, it slipped and started to fall! The mythical pokemon soon landed on the blonde guy's head, only to flip over him and land on its back between the guy's feet. Staring up at both him and the big thing next to him, Shaymin waved a its paw at the duo. Hoping they didn't want a fight...

"Yeah, it was wierd, he's stronger than me. By a lot. And was considered one of the strongest youths around. No idea why they were so nervious. But the only way they'd let him go was with me, but we separated pretty quickly once we left." Well, he had a pretty good idea as to why, but it wasn't his place to say nor did he have any real confirmation of the suspicion. Keenan was decent enough, but Aaron was a on a whole other level.

Shin's chuckle did make Keenan jump a bit, but also attracted his attention to listen to the Unovan native. The red head mentioned that his sister would have called them out over missing Keldeo. That would be funny to see how the actors would have reacted. "If they were good actors, they'd have improvised and worked with it. I've seen better, but I've seen a lot worse too." Ah the high school shows. Budding talent and absolute crapshows. Even for those amateur shows people underestimate the amount of work that went into them. And high schoolers had such short attention spans. Or at least his class did. Kee was no exception. Anyways, the performance was lovely all the same. Heroics and all...

Shin actually surprised Kee by his choice of activity. Granted, plays usually weren't quiet by any means. Though it was more because of his sister, making the blonde give the red head and soft smile, even if he couldn't see it. Shin said he preferred the sports part of Nimbasa's stadiums, but maybe he didn't see them as often was due to not being able to say no to his sister. "That's adorable. I try to dote on Ace...but he can be a bit...prickly...probably due to mom and dad not having enough confidence in him as a trainer." He looked up where the theater was, and attempted to lead them to it. Key word was attempted.

For some reason, Kee got confused as to which direction his phone was trying to take him, and they ended up getting to the theater about two minutes late to when the show started. Still, they allowed them through when Keenan paid for the two tickets. But at least it was still early in the play. They were about four rows up, and to the right towards the center of the section. There were ten rows per side, it was a small theater. Funnily enough, it was about the three Swords of Justice in Unova. Although...something in the back of his mind nagged him that they were missing one. Though later in the play, they did address that, as luck would have it. Kee stayed silent, but attentive. So much so that if Shin got his attention, he would jump a little. Though he would thankfully be able to keep himself from squeeking a but too loudly.

When the attack hit, there was a lot of pink shimmering all around. The Typhlosion didn't even loose her balance, and there wasn't so much as a scratch on her. Success! Even the Shaymin on his head waved two little leafy pom poms in celebration of finding out the creature's tera type. "Yep! But only when you use the Tera Orb. Fairy-types have the type advantage over Dragon, Fighting, and Dark type pokemon. Granted, it does make her vulnerable to Steel and Poison type attacks." And if Kyoko knew a fairy type attack, combined with the fairy terastil form, she'll basically oneshot any of those Pokemon, even if she was vulnerable to other types. Though with her being a former fire type, she'd likely have a fire type attack and could still hit steel types hard. But especially his Hydreigon. "So, is there anything else you'd like to know?" Kee was slightly eager if there was anything else he could help her with on understanding how to use the Tera Orb.

"Alright, give me a minute, I'll go get Hydreigon!" With that, Keenan left to go get his dragon. Upon returning, an overly long twenty minutes later due to getting lost, they went outside the city. The Typhlosion seemed ready to go. Kee threw his pokeball, releasing the three headed dragon that was Hydreigon. "Ready whenever you are!" The blonde waited for Yuina's confirmation to test if Kyoko's type was now a Fairy type. Upon getting he would give his dragon the command. "Okay, Hydreigon, use Dragon Pulse!" The middle head reared up, a glowing in her throat, and fired an energy blast that looked like a dragon.

It was a sure fire way to tell if he was right. Now it was just wait and see...
