That was a goal for he would hope anyone. Just more difficult for those that can't see. And at that thought, he felt silly for asking about colors. Luckily not too silly, seeing as Shin told him that he liked red because of his hair color. "It is a lovely shade of red, and the way it's styled makes you look adorable, covering one of your eyes..." It made him want to play with it, honestly. Shin then asked him about his own favorite color. "I have a four way tie honestly. Red is one of them, but I also like blue, black, and white. Probably because any of those four colors can go with pretty much anything." Be it fashion, vehicles, houses, or Pokemon coloration, those colors can make anything look awesome.

Shin started to fidget a bit, like he was going to ask something uncomfortable, even starting with a long "ummm". Kee had to process a little bit about what the red head just asked. How to describe himself...and to do so without being awkward about it. Instead with words, he reached out to touch Shin's hand, lift it, and gently pull it towards his face. "I'm a blonde. Well, my brothers are too, along with my mom. My older one likes his styled in a long ponytail, where Ace likes his spiky. I like mine a bit more mundane if you can call it that. Just straight down with a cluster of long bangs down the middle. My eyes are amber colored, and I'm generally more described as your traditional bishounen twink character from ninety-percent of anime shows. But I wouldn't mind hugging you and letting you feel for yourself. I'd say we're about the same height, if there's any difference, it's not much." Kee would guide Shin's hand through his hair and face, watching the boy's expression carefully. Making a tentative look around, he saw their waitress smiling and gushing with another about them with the looks they were sending thier way.

"Looks like another key..." Not that he really wanted it...he was ready to get out of here. They did find a way to slide down to the entrance easily and without hurting themselves. Then Shalin gave him a choice. Explore some more, or call it quits. Much as he was curious and wanted to find out more, he also really wanted to get back to civilization and sleep on a bed. Not to mention making it to Slateport for Splashfest. He looked at her with sad eyes. "Sorry, I'd really like to get back to society. This is a cool place, but I think I'm too exhausted, physically and mentally, to continue on. At least you know where it is, and you can modify your team to get back up here and continue on..."

Hopefully she wouldn't be mad at him. Even if he did get a little harsh at her earlier. He'd even give her the key that he got.

It seemed that Kee already had a point in Shin's favor with the research. Though he had to wonder, if Shin had any bad dating experience where they didn't take that into consideration. "That's still really good to picture it in your head what you'll look like." Kee imagined it probably helped that Shin used to be able to see. Looking over the menu, Kee also didn't really want something that was too messy. It seemed like they had something in common when it came to food. "I agree. I bet they will. I might have the BBQ Mac and Cheese with pulled pork with a side salad." Once the waitress got their drinks and order in, a small silence followed.

"U-um, favorite color?" Kee took out his phone and started to look up financial programs for the visually impaired. He was still nervious since he'd never been on a date before, surprisingly. And didn't exactly know what to talk about. They did do a lot of talking at the cave, but they also should talk about other things, right? But what to talk about? Maybe they're other food related habits?

Kee nodded and watched her move the boulder. A bit in shock, until he noticed the macho brace. Huh...so that's what it did. He followed right behind her. Upon reaching the top, his breath was taken away. Beyond just the view, the Seviper itself...holy shit! Even if it was Gigantimax, this still seemed so much larger than that! "They say the earth's environment was way different. Like there was a lot more oxygen in the air, and something else about gravity? There's a reason you don't see Wailord or larger Pokemon on land anymore..." He couldn't remember why. But there was something about deep sea gigantism, and how anymore, the truly monstrous pokemon can only exist the deep seas, and if they were beached, they'd suffocate themselves.

He followed Shalin to the other side, finding a chamber that was disconnected from anything else. When they tried to get to the chest in the middle, they started to sink. Well, the chest did. Shalin released her dragon again, and Kee threw his Lucario. "Lucario, Close Combat!" With blinding speed, Lucario got to the next cracked stalagmite, smashing through them. "Lucario knows Extreme Speed. Even if it's a close call, he can make it." That was assuming that they could break through enough of them to make it to the chest...

Thankfully, Shin didn't mind at all, just glad that Kee made it here okay. Looking over the guy's outfit...well, if had his ways to keep track of it, it's done him some good. Definitely not bad, Shin knew how to dress himself even when being blind. "Yep! I have a few places in mind. There's Grumpy's BBQ Pit, Magik Seafood, and Mimomalds. Dewford is a bit of a small town, so there's not much. But small towns also usually have the best food. There is another restauruant, but it serves coconut products, so I thought it best not to mention it. I'm up for whatever you're in the mood for."

Kee walked beside Shin, not wanting to get in the way. Plus, he thought it would be more respectful that way too. And maybe a little hopeful that Shin would latch onto his arm like being escorted around. That would be cute. If they went to one of the former two places, Kee would hold up two fingers for a table of two. And specifically ask if they had a menu for Braille. Or an equivalent. Thankfully, the host did, and specifically got one out. After being seated, Kee started to look at the menu. "You look nice, by the way..." The blonde said it kind of shyly. He knew Shin couldn't see him, so it might be a little strange. But then again, while Kee had gotten a little better, he was still perhaps a tad awkward.

ooc: Standard bbq joint, seafood joint but a little more expensive, and a Mcdonalds knockoff? I tried...

That was a good question. There really shouldn't have been any reason for Tsareenie to be in such a place filled with poison type Pokemon. He really didn't want to dwell too much on that. He followed Shalin, even stopping when she held out her arm. Then he heard it. Rolling pokemon. What kind, he didn't know, so he just trusted the Ranger to know right off hand. He rushed it along when the green haired gal signaled the timing right, returning all of his Pokemon except Lucario. They managed to make it through to a dead end, though it had a chest. Another key. Likely another door later on as well. The duo continued on.

Which proved much more dangerous with more patrolling pokemon. Shalin had to ferry Kee along on more than one occasion to get through. His Lucario was more than fast enough to make it through. They soon came to a fork in the road, one leading up, and the other down. Inky blackness both ends. Shalin asked which way to go. "I'm more inclined to go up. Worse comes to worse, it's easier to scale down the side than to try to dig our way out if we really had to escape in a hurry." Though damaging the place in either scenario would be quite the shame. If the Pokemon weren't so hostile, maybe he'd enjoy it a bit more...

A date! After getting out of Granite Cave with a very successful spree of catching friends, Shinobu had accepted Kee's invitation of a date. Under the guise of doing research about financial programs to help visually impaired persons to do their finances. They decided to meet up later at the Pokemon Center. An easy place to meet up and go somewhere. At the motel, Kee had taken a shower, and dressed up a little bit at least. He wore blue, metallic shorts with bright yellow crocs, a white T-shirt with an orange stripe horizontal at chest high, and another light, slip on, Sunflora themed, short sleeved jacket/shirt thing. The only Pokemon he kept with him was his Houndoom.

In the short time between the separation and meeting, Kee also had time to do some research on restaurants. There were a few around, but only one served coconut-related foods and drinks. Best to avoid that one. Drawing up a map to the others, he'd ask Shin which one he preferred. Only...he completely missed the Pokemon Center. And was ten minutes late because he somehow got turned around. Only reason he wasn't later was because of his Houndoom, who often wondered why his trainer had such bad sense of direction. Running up to Shin, Kee apologized. "I'm sooooo sorry!! I missed a turn and completely got lost! R-ready to go?!" He was like an overly excited, but deeply apologetic puppy.

Kee wasn't exactly the most intimidating of people. Being only five foot nine, a skinny twink, and a pretty face, most people laughed in his face when he got mad. It was...sort of nice to see the opposite reaction. "I'm not the one you should be apologizing to..." He was pretty sulky. He didn't really notice her put on the Macho Brace and move the rocks until she was finished and took out a map. Keenan also took a picture of it. As Shalin put it back, the blonde studied it. And nearly groaned. Those Seviper were likely guarding a way through.

"If the map is anything to go by, that Seviper horde was guarding the way through. I don't know if they were still following us...I'm a bit surprised we haven't seen them...surely Ariados's webs didn't deter them completely..." Looking at the way that they came from before helping the Tsaarenie, he didn't hear anything, not a peep. By now, they had to have caught up with them...right?

Note to self, do research on mushrooms before adding them to stews. That is the only reason Kee could think of that his intestines would be feeling the way that they are now. Those had to be some sort of non-lethal poison mushroom...at least he hoped it was non-lethal. His poor Wartortle was escorting him right now. Thankfully, his intestines hurting was the only thing that was going wrong for him today as he tried desperately to get to the nearest town.

And here he finds a horde of Paldean Wooper and Clodsire. They were adorable! Seriously, how could something so poisonous look so much cuter than the Johto version? The blonde had to try to catch one! Taking out a Pokeball, he just threw it. And didn't know where it went as his guts decided to let him know that they were not happy with his decision to add wild mushrooms to the stew he attempted to cook...

Kee sputtered stupidly. Why was she focusing on the Golbat?! That didn't make sense when there was still Seviper around! And before he knew it, the battle was over. Returning Whiscash, he let out Lucario. "Hey, buddy, try Heal Pulse..." Life Dew was great and all, but it wasn't the greatest healing move. Heal Pulse was better, but even that was struggling to do anything for the poor Tsaarenie. Kee still frantically looked in his pack for an antidote. "Don't you have an antedote? And what was that, are you stupid?! Why'd you focus on the Golbat when I clearly had them occupied?!" It just didn't make any sense to him, the purpose was to save the Tsaarenie! You can't focus on one opponent and let the other one have their way like that!

Of course he didn't find one, and Shalin didn't either. With a frustrated sigh, he zipped up his bag. Lucario also stopped, shaking his head. But the Aura Pokeamon felt his trainer's frustration with the woman. Maybe Kee expected a lot more from an actual ranger. Particularly one searching for this place. Looking around the chamber for a way out, he responded to her question. "No. Frankly, I don't think either one of us deserve it..." He failed to save all of them...the gift was unearned in his mind. Finding nothing, he sulked back over to the previous chamber. Maybe there was another way forward back there?

Getting Back Too It [C,DW]

Coconuts, huh. But...in the deserts? "I thought coconuts were a tropical tree and fruit? Maybe some oasis in deserts..." He hoped he didn't come off as condescending with the "well, actually" question. It seemed they had similar viewpoints though. And he'd find it hard to argue with that. He's had his bad days, and he did have his own hates. And if someone were to try to harm his family...yeah, he'd go beast mode real fast. But he'd be second string, since Ace would be on them first and likely not leave a whole lot left to finish off. Despite being the youngest brother, Aaron could be the scariest child that ever was. Like those creepy or scary murdery children in some horror movies.

After he heard the pokeball go thump, and saw that Shin had captured the Metagross, it was time to move on. "After this next one, want to head back?" They've had some good luck. But time was ticking if they still wanted to hang out afterwards for a date. But they continued onwards for another encounter. There was cracks in the cieling in the next big chamber that they found. In the center was a Medicham, and a partner, Pawmot! "Medicham in the center of the room, and a Pawmot! I'll take the Paldean pokemon, if that's fine with you?" If it was, it was game on. "Let's go Gligar!" Deciding to give Houndoom a break, Gligar was sent out. Seeing the challenge, the Pawmot stepped forward, firing off a Thundershock.

Except...that didn't have any effect on Gligar, being a ground type. The bat like pokemon zoomed forward with Slash. Stumbling back, the Pawmot turned to face him, and went in with Scratch. Gligar met it with Slash again. And won that exchange handily. An Acrobatics to match a Slam later, it was ready to be caught. Throwing the Pokeball, Kee watched as it hit the pokemon.

Thinking about food evidently triggered a question. A very good one that Keenan did not think about. "Thankfully, I do not. If I do, I've yet to discover it. What about you?" He knew nuts and shellfish was common, as was dairy. His family had been lucky in that regard.

The conversation soon turned towards Team Rocket. Shin wanted to know his full thoughts. "I don't think all of them are bad. I mean, the one that I came across was a thieving asshole that had no problem punching me and then leaving with stuff from the place I was staying in at the time. But I'm sure some are only with them because of blackmail, threats to their life, and more. Some, even because the League failed them somehow. I'm positive that if you interview each member, you'll find some of them didn't choose the criminal life, their circumstances made it the best possible outcome. That's the sad part. That being said, even with its flaws, the League at least tries to help people. The only thing I've seen and heard Rocket of doing is destruction. Just like in a school, not every teacher is going to be cool, some of them are going to be complete and total assholes. You should ask Ace though, he's encountered them more often than I have, and may have a bit more of an opinion..." With the League being the school teachers. It was perhaps a bit long winded way of saying to judge based on each individiual person, not completely the organizations themselves. Right now, the leaders of Team Rocket are evil in his mind. But if the right people usurped them and started to change the organization, who's to say that it can't change? Not that he had any hope of that happening, least not in his lifetime. Aaron has had more interactions with them...surprisingly.

They decided to skip the Stunfisk and Mankey. But soon heard humming. Up above was a Magneton. But he could see a glimpse of something else in the cieling...a Metagross! "Up above us, a Magneton and a Metagross! I'm going to take the Magneton, since I already have a Metagross. Unless you want the Magneton?" Both Pokemon were really cool, and there was no way he was going to miss this chance! But he was also a fair guy too. Houndoom stepped up to the plate with a Fire Blast. The magnet Pokemon saw the attack and dodged, firing out a Zap Cannon! Houndoom jumped out of the way, then used Flamethrower, sending it to the wall. Kee took out a Pokeball and threw it as the Magneton tried to get up.

Eh, they were gemstones, how easy were they to break? But at least neither party was particularly greedy. Ariados set up more webs and Electro-webs in their steads. Just past the gate was a chest surrounded by heavy looking stones. Shalin let out Hakemo-o again, making the teen and everyone else cover their ears again. No dice, no matter what the pseudo legendary tried. Yikes. "I don't think we should focus too much on that then. We should instead see if there's a path forward and explore and/or find a way out." As curious as even he was, they were on a time limit.

A pair of cries sounded out. That was unusual. Caves are not very good at letting sound through, right? His Growlithe started to growl at the direction. Even his Whiscash and Ariados flanked him, looking like they were ready to go. "Yeah. Only place to go is through there. No choice but to check it out." His Growlithe took point, then his two other buddies, and then himself. And they soon found a pair of troubled Tsaarena, and a trio of their pre-evolutions. Three Seviper and two Golbats were there. "Whiscash, Spark, Ariados, Electro-Web, Growlithe, watch your Flame Burst, but try to herd those Golbat to the Electro Webs!" His catfish surrounded itself in electricity and charged, slamming itself into the leading Seviper. Ariados let out several electrofied webs as Growlithe fired Flame Bursts at the flying Pokemon. The Golbats avoided the attacks, but they had to be really careful doing so with all the airborn obsticles...
