with the Pokemon Center a beacon of hope and healing among the various residents of the city, nobody would suspect a Rocket or two was involved there. the Upper District had the fanciest one - that was their target. Siobhan was supposed to be doing this job with another of their mutual organization, waiting on a contact from inside the Center.

and also waiting on one Raphael Pryde to show up. she did not mind staking out the location. already bringing in a few Pokemon to be freely healed just in case things went down, she was seen outwardly as a patron. loitering outside the building and checking her Pokeballs - now that her 'main team' was fully healed - she would glance casually around.

their contact inside did not open the back door yet. but that was fine. Raphael still had to show up. no use rushing this without back-up.

Raphael was only slightly late, but this was more because he was picking up a vehicle for them to deliver the pokemon. He was at the back where the hand off was meant to happen. Their person on the inside should have disabled the camera by now so they couldn't be seen. Exiting the car he takes a few steps forward though he stays further behind. The older Rocket is there mostly to observe and watch the newer member. See just how Hoenn Rocket does. [break][break]

Finally the door gives a click as a red head comes out, nervous as she comes out with a pokemon in a cage. She seems to be second guessing herself about this. However this was their man, from what he's been informed the lass had come across hard times and needed the money. "They're.... you're not going to hurt them much are you?" she can't help but question. Once more Pryde is quiet, taking a back seat to this.

a vehicle pulled up, the man and woman inside not known to her. but at least she knew the name of the man. the redhead is quick to offer regret of her choice, to which Siobhan shakes her head. "no - we will be very careful with him." is all she said before the woman nods. she seemed pleased with the other female's words. the man was a bit intimidating to her.

examining the 'cargo' once more, she would place the Zen-mode into the back of the vehicle and put a blanket over the meditating Pokémon. Siobhan would dig out the money promised to the redhead, but would hold back on the full amount. "we will contact you when the job is done for the other half." just in case the red's hesitance led her to turn on them.

glumly, the other woman nods.

going to the Pokemon Center, she vanishes from sight. Siobhan would turn to Raphael. either he was watching her potential or just naturally silent - she did not care. "ready to begin?" she would ask him.

Raphael just watches the interaction, judging both of them. More so the rookie Rocket, did she not know where it was going? Or was she lying to spare the poor girl her feelings? In the end he supposes it doesn't matter as the payment is handed over and the woman retreats back into the pokemon center. [break][break]

"Of course," he finally speaks before he gets back into the car and waits for his partner to get into the passenger seat before he would leave. Making sure to keep it casual to not bring suspicion on their car. "You do know where this pokemon is going right?" part of him wonders how much this newbie cares.

Siobhan would be truthful, having not been spared those details when taking the job for herself. the woman enters the car on the passenger's side, closing the door softly. did she really care? not particularly. "the woman was on the fence about giving us the Pokémon" she explains logically, quietly "best not to rile her up with emotions over it. she could still turn us in."

and that's why Siobhan gave her half of the desperate mountain of cash. if the redhead had really fallen on hard times, she would err to the money over good nature. she waits for Raphael to start, her eyes watchfully glancing out the window. if need be, she would release a Pokémon or two. but she hoped this job would be nice and easy. no point in starting a race in the middle of Slateport.

Perhaps that was too far into the Kanto ways of doing things. However after over 20 years of being in Rocket, changing lanes in such a fashion wasn’t going to be easy for this old dog. Thankfully for the most part the drive was easy, so he doesn’t have to worry outside normal road conditions. It left time for talking, picking the brains of the newbies.

Siobhan utters at first, glancing out the passenger's window. she props her chin upon a palm, looking listless. kill someone over one little Pokémon job? she didn't think there was a reason for it. the woman would not talk. if she ended up screwing Rocket over after the job was done...? the grunt doubted she'd be the one paying the redhead a visit.

"I have not" she replies to Raphael "though I doubt my hands will remain unpainted for long." there was no need to ask if he had; for she had an inkling the man had indeed killed a few people. or had a hand in it. Siobhan did not particularly care; she always judged others based on their actions around her. there were many reasons not to kill the woman outside of the Pokémon Center.

just as someone may say there were many reasons to kill her. but Siobhan dimly thought that it was lazy to just off someone because you could. flaunting power over another being was just a perk of being human, she supposed.

hmm, so Kantonian Rockets were more bloodthirsty. she supposes that made sense, considering the war they went through. she knew some of the other Hoenn Rockets wouldn't kill unless they felt it was required. "I enjoy keeping busy" Siobhan would reply to Raphael "and they give me plenty of work to do." work hard and prove yourself; that was the case for this organization.

we're here she adds inwardly as the drop zone is within sight. Siobhan has a fleeting guess to who would want their cargo before it vanishes from her mind. it doesn't matter. she doesn't care - not really. "I'll go back to the give the woman the other half" she informs her partner "flying is faster." avoiding traffic in a busy city was too.
