The SKY UPPERCUT collides, snapping back Lucario's jaw, but the feeling of victory may be short-lived for the fire-type — Lucario's eyes flash with energy as it COPIES the attack, throwing its fist violently toward Blaziken's chin.

Unaware or perhaps indifferent to the incoming psychic assault, Aegislash unsheathes its BLADE FORME to once again go on the offensive. This time it goes not for Alakazam but for the Blaziken, looking to tag-team the stronger opponent alongside its own ally.

It lunges, SACRED SWORD looking to score across the chicken's side.

In the end, Blaziken was knocked back into the sand, met by the terrific might of one who would finally best it. Then, SACRED SWORD ensured that the job was done. Blaziken had FAINTED.

Lulu shook her head a little, knowing it was over from there. Hit her cigarette again and held out a pokeball, returning the Blaziken and watching what would become of her Alakazam.

It attempted PSYCHIC again, spoon glowing and seeking to lift Lucario into the air again.

Lucario lets out a sharp, satisfied bark as its opponent goes down.

In a rare moment of pride, it looks to Gavin — it would never replace Faolan, would never be as skilled in battle, but it's rewarded for its efforts with a dip of the underbosses head.

He clicks his tongue, reminding both Pokemon to focus.

Lifted into the air by Alakazam's psychic power, Lucario lifts its arm to fire a HEALING PULSE toward Aegislash instead. Bolstered by the energy, the ghostly weapon lashes out with another attempt at FURY CUTTER.

FURY CUTTER hit the Alakazam point-blank. Knocked the spoon out of its hand. Its eyes went wide as its body was swiped at from left and right, too quickly for it to react or teleport away, until it lied on the ground—FAINTED and motionless.

Another pokeball came up, returning the psychic-type. Lulu’s expression was flat. She finished her cigarette, and stamped it into the sand.

“Well, can’t say I didn’t expect this. Next time, maybe.”
