Moltres burns right through the Blizzard, unfettered by the cold. It never reaches it, for the deity is the embodiment of the volcano it sleeps in.[break][break]

With a cry, and boosted by its TAILWIND, the Moltres attacks. It descends upon the Articuno with ferocity, engulfing the pair of them in another BURNING JEALOUSY. The flames are hot enough to inflict a BURN on contact. [break][break]

Moltres had not been running, it had merely been testing the resolve of the Articuno, and it was time to bring this battle to its end.

The way the weather was getting colder, nobody would’ve guessed what was going on.

However, Lars chose this time to look up and see what was going down—before realizing that this was it.

“You mind if I try something?” he asked Stormy casually as he bit into the last of the snow cone before coming out of the shade of the umbrella. “I’ve only picked up on it recently.”

With that, the iceborne deity’s entire body began to glow a frigid kind of blue. He hoped that everyone would have time to either duck or get out of the way because he hadn’t exactly tested this power yet, so—

As if mimicking a punch to the heavens (the only time he would ever do the Z-move pose and be flashy), the Articuno let out a loud shriek, before flapping its wings and an equally frigid kind of cold began to spread out with the Winged Mirage at its center, having activated the End of the World.

Hopefully the Moltres would be caught in its path and be slowed down considerably…

The type match-up was going to fuck him over, though. He was sure of it.

This was the recipe for a tornado. [break][break]

Stormy uses one hand to cover her eyes as the extreme hot and cold temperatures and wind begin to whip her hair around. She exhales, her breath warm against the cool air.[break][break]

"Go ahead, man."[break][break]

It was impossible to outrun fate. It was impossible to outrun a z-move and its power. But Moltres wasn't running.[break][break]

Not only has it begun to ENDURE, it also begins to super-heat. Somewhere deep in Stormy's chest, Moltres' resolve grows. It crashes to the surface with a gasp, prompting Stormy to step forward and watch.[break][break]

It looks like Moltres is BURNING UP, but that isn't quite the case. She's seen Moltres do this only twice before- and once was because it had been close to death, she's sure of it.[break][break]

Now this wasn't anywhere near as serious, but it was serious enough that Moltres felt the need to burn away all of it's fire to protect itself. By using it's own Z-MOVE: IMMOLATON, it engulfs itself and Articuno in flame. With sharp talons dug into Articuno's shoulders, the fire deity drives the Winged Mirage into the sand.[break][break]
They explode on impact, and Moltres' red flames and yellow skin are replaced with ashen black and fuschia. The beast looks like a demon, full BERSERK-MODE.

The type match-up definitely fucked him over, he was certain of it.

While the Z-move did take hold—it was only for a few moments, before both Winged Mirages were suddenly hurling towards the sand.

A few seconds later, a powerful explosion ripped through the space, sending sand everywhere—thank hell he wasn’t eating any snow cones at the time of impact!

The entire place exploded in a powerful burst of burning-hot as well as freezing-cold sand, and once the ‘sand cloud’ had cleared out—

“What the hell? Why’s your Winged Mirage look different? I could swear it was a different color earlier—” Lars stammered, looking over to where his own deity had crash-landed in the sand.

It was a bad time in his head at the moment, thankfully all it took was him pinching the bridge of his nose and closing off his mind (with great difficulty) before he found the next words he wanted to say.

“Was that part of what you did just now?”

They—would have to talk about this later. And hopefully somewhere more private.
