The battlefield is always a good place to hone one's instincts and train teamwork! With a hand held firmly by Reiner's tail, Eris is already thinking of how to face their next opponent, whoever they may be! And it all begins with letting Lyra grow accustomed to fighting others!

The Wooper hops behind her with a steady tune, her tail swinging side to side as she makes her way into the arena. When compared to the Tauros standing before her, Lyra can be considered somewhat of a dwarf and she remains blissfully Unaware of the storm that brews.

On the other hand, the opposing trainer seems somewhat familiar, a sense of deja vu creeping under her skin. Yet, she struggles to place it, instead offering a wave and a grin to the man as her Luxray nods in acknowledgement.

tauros sweeps a leg back, then struts forward with a confident SWAGGER that looks to confuse their opponent. with that done, tauros takes off into a charge, approaching the water-type.

Try as they may to be swag about their presence, Lyra doesn't quite take notice of their little strut. Instead, she seems to bounce happily to a mysterious tune, letting out a woop of joy every so often as she shakes her tail from side to side.

Catching onto the rhythm, Eris whistles and follows the Wooper's swaying with a quiet hum. The more Lyra grooves, the stronger her movements get, allowing her to strike at the charging Tauros with a pre-emptive Aqua Tail.

With a strong Headbutt, Lyra is sent flying into the air. And yet, unlike her trainer, she's cheering wildly, seemingly happy to be soaring through the skies as she uses her tail to spin herself around.

Though somewhat confused at the Wooper's actions, Eris still manages to give her whistles, watching as Lyra begins to inhale. Then, she strikes back with a freezing Ice Beam!

either way, matias whistles, which makes the tauros do absolutely nothing.

the thought lingers as the battle plays out in front of them. the EARTHQUAKE threatens to send tauros off his feet but he holds strong, resisting it as once again he charges across the battlefield for a GIGA IMPACT.

She can't remember much of who she's met in the past if she's to be completely honest. To her, her memories are somewhat of a blur, bittersweet moments mixed with hints of white noise and sprinkles of migraines whenever she tries to recall details. Has she met him in the corridors of the headquarters? Perhaps they've crossed paths whilst out hunting for pokemon...

No matter how much effort she puts into remembering, he just doesn't seem to ring a bell.

Though distracted, Eris remains able to cue the Wooper, giving a small whistle as the Tauros charges once more. This time, Lyra dodges successfully, deciding to huff a bit of poison in his direction just to be a little Toxic.

The name is quick to burn the smile on her face, anxiety setting in as she looks at the man. They'd met? In those wastelands? Had he been a survivor that had tried to kill her? Or was he one of those Rocket members that she'd run into?

Neither seems to fit the description, especially considering when considering how Reiner hasn't quite primed his claws for the killing. So where did they meet? Her head hurts trying to remember and she holds onto Reiner for even the slightest bit of comfort, faltering in giving Lyra a cue.
