Melody was locked in an intense battle with dr eva! They both agreed to a one on one with 6 pokemon each and after some intense battling Melody was on her last pokemon primarina! "Woah Dr eva! You're really pushing me to my limit over here!" she said giving a dazzling smile to the good doctor. [break][break]

Melody threw out her last pokemon on the field, her precious primarina that she's raised since she was a small child. "But unfortunately the battle's gonna end here!" she grinned as she was becoming more confidant in the outcome of this battle.

Eva is grinning ear to ear, her heart racing with the adrenaline spike this battle had elicited, “Right back at ya, Melody! This is intense!” Eva had just returned her fifth pokemon and it is down to their last one each. The Primarina is no doubt going to be a handful. Eva is left with Blade, her most trusted pokemon but also not the best offensive player. He was bred and raised to be support. Oh well, time to put himback into action!

The Gallade steps forward, tensing and readying himself to face off against the opponent, “We’ll see about that!” Eva teases back, her competitive spirit is more playful than anything.

Heh! She liked that fiery spirit. "Alright Primarina! give em a show of your vocal chords! Sparkling aria!" she called out with a flourish of the hand as if she was conducting. [break][break]

Primarina lost herself in the music Melody was playing on a nearby speaker and the pokemon sang in tune with the music and fired off a barrage of bubbles summoned by the pokemon's aquatic vocals and launched them right towards her opponent. Melody was excited to see how her Gallade handled a sudden barrage of targets, would the swordsmans be able to keep up with the mermaid?

The Gallde grins, the scythes on his forearms growing in anticipation as the barrage of bubbles and sweet song rush towards him. A psychic aura coats the blades. Graceful, as if dancing to Melody’s song, he begins moving. The PSYCHO CUT quickly cuts through the larger bubbles, but the smaller one break through, pelting his sensitive skin. When finished, he rushes forward with same blades, striking out at Primarina.

The anticipation was so apparent even melody could feel it herself. Melody was eagerly watching him dance around the bubbles and even launching into dance! If Melody could have him she instantly would but she could feel the love and care that was put into raising the Gallade so she knew she couldn't. However she might start hunting for one now because of it! Especially because this fucker danced through the pain and still managed to attack! [break][break]

The psycho cut collided with Primarina as the Primadonna strikes back with her flippers and also piling a close ranged icy wind on top of that to try and slow down her opponent for her to try and keep up with it since she was on land.

Blade crosses his arms in front of him, trying his best to block the chill of the ICY WIND. It doesn’t do much against the invasive cold. It seeps in, threatening to freeze him. He’s able to stave it off through movement. Just as graceful as before, the swordman strikes out with AERIAL ACE through the end of the icy wind.

If Melody hadn't known that this was actually just a battle she would have honestly thought that this was a contest. The way that Gallade and Primarina constantly were going back and forth made it seem like that they were doing a routine. The natural back and forth looked like a dance and Melody was INTO IT. She saw the aerial flying towards her poor Primarina as the pokemon was STILL too quick for Primarina to dodge on land. [break][break]

"Primarina! Moon blast!" she called out as Primarina exhales a pink greath from her mouth and formed it into a ball that absorbed the sunlight and turned it a pristine white and pink and launched it at Gallade.

AERIAL ACE strikes which isn’t surprising. Blade does step back, putting a bit of space between the two opponents. Not too much space, he’s built for close combat. Well, not really trained for combat at all considering his two damage dealing moves. With those two moves, he was a formidable opponent.

Primaraina prepares a MOONBLAST and the Gallade readies himself. His arms cross in front of him in a similar manner as before. This time, a sparkling barrier erects itself between him and Melody’s pokemon. The sparking beam strikes the PROTECT which parts the powerful, forcing it to curl around him and leave him unscathed.

Primarina and melody both clapped in unison with one another, not really revealing who started clapping first "Your gallade is still so amazing!" she said giving out more compliments freely. She then recofuses on the battle. "Primarina! Hydro pump! Now that Protect is down!" she called out as Primarina gathered some water from the environment and fired off a powerful jetstream of water in a condensed beam aimed right at gallade.

Eva returns the compliment with a bright smile, “Thanks! He’s been at it a while!” definitely a veteran pokemon, and not new when it comes to battle, “Your Primarina is impressive as well!” It truly was already, and she doubts she’s seen half of what the gym leader’s pokemon could do. She’s a gym leader for a reason.

The PROTECT fades and Primarina prepares an even more brutal attack. Defenseless, Blade is forced to use offense to dampen the blow. A tall PSYCHO CUT rises to split the power stream in half. It hold for a moment, but the HYDRO PUMP is too powerful and it breaks through. Blade is forced back and slammed into the edge of the arena.

Melody and Primarina both began to do the alolan Z dance for water type moves as Z energy began to flow around the two as Melody and Primarina channeled the z move "Z move! Crashing Crescendo!" she called out as Water droplets in the air infused into primarina's voice and launched a vocal assault on the pokemon.

Blade shakes it off, standing and making his way back towards the center of the arena. A z-move, eh? Eva grins wickedly, excited to see what the duo has up their sleeves! There’s no fear because Blade too has access to Z-moves that will certainly counter theirs.

As they dance together in unison, Blade readies himself. His palms face each other, a sparkling light pulses from the center. With each pulse, it grows. Each thrum of the SANCTUARY echoes like a heartbeat. It expands beyond Blade as his palms press out. A dome spreads over his side of the area, effectively stopping the Crashing Crescendo from pressing further.

"WOAH!" Melody watched as the sanctuary was spreading slowly yet surely from the gallade's body. This was their Z-MOVE?! OH GOSH LOOK AT THEM GO! The crescendo was stopped RIGHT in it's tracks, Primarina unable to penetrate the barrier with this move. "And it has a cool ass z move?! What else can this guy do?!" she shouted. [break][break]
Melody couldn't let the gallade do as he pleases though and continued to keep up the assault "Sparkling aria! Again!" surely a move like that took a lot of power and had to leave a gap in timing for her to score a free hit.

The SANCTUARY does take a lot out of him. The concentration alone, especially when he’s not mega-evolved, it considerable. As the barrier fades, the SPARKLING ARIA assaults him at full force this time. Each sphere crashes against sensitive skin like bullets. He’s driven back, falling to a knee with heavy breaths. He’s slow to rise but rises all the same.

Unlike most pokemon, he knows when enough is enough. His skills lie elsewhere and compromising them for a win with injury wasn’t in his programming. He cast a look over his shoulder to Eva and nods.

The doctor returns it with a smile, “Alright, Blade says he’s done. Wonderful match, Melody! That was an intense one!” The Gallade nods in recognition to the Primarina, conceding the battle to them.
