All these hybrid battle formats were getting really intense.

That 'Submerged Triple' was pretty damn cool. What was this?

A... 'Sky Rotation' battle?

How the hell was this going to work? Taking the concept of a Rotation Battle and setting it skybound with a host of aerially inclined pokémon was going to complicate things.

Luckily, he found a good partner for this crazy ass experiment of a battle.

Usually Razz relied on the APP to tell him who his next opponent was. However Senon called him directly for one, and he didn't want to disappoint. So of course he goes, though he is going to look at him as if he were a crazy person. "Wait you want to do a Sky Rotation?" Razz will question him. His tone matching his look of the other's madness.

It took a minute or two to get the rules ironed out.

It all came out in the end.

Two trainers on each side pick two flying pokémon each.

The two teams of pokémon fly in a diamond formation and can only attack while the two teams are on trajectory to collide.

Only the pokémon at the head of the diamond can attack.

Timing and type match ups were more important that ever in this match.

When Kingsman arrived he called his two to the field. "It'll be fun, and you need the practice." How did he know Kingsman needed the practice?

Because Rangers always needed practice.

Razz still seems a bit confused by the rules. Especially since rotation battles required 3 pokemon usually not 2. Though it seems the older ranger wanted to try something else. These people and their wanting to think outside the box. You know the inside the box was nice too. [break][break]

The younger man decides on his two pokemon, slightly amused how neither of them didn't really choose any flying type. He would give the other a small pout though, "Need practice? I've been doing this whole thing all week, I think I have enough practice."

Yeesh he really was late to the party even Razz was looking for an out from another battle.

"Don't flake on me Kingsman you're cooler when you don't complain." He crossed his arms, deadpanned. "I missed this whole thing so humor me alright?"

He wondered if he was putting too much pressure on the youngster, but what was the point of (co-)heading the Rangers if he couldn't make his favorites suffer along side him?

Sénon smirked at his younger counterpart's words.

It was nice to feel like a boss but better to remember not to lord over friends.

"We aint in red and black anymore so remember its healthy to say no sometimes." He clarified as he directed his two pokémon to join Razz' in the sky flying against a Murkrow, Ninjask, Steelix and Togekiss. "-except right now. You can't say "No." right now."

There was a CROWD with these battles, and while most people only pay attention to the pokemon. Some people listened in. Razz' paranoia was cute and overblown but Sénon had no doubts it kept the young man alive and on the mental mend.

He'd seen Razz less jarred around fire-types than he was around even the alluding to himself being a Rocket once upon a time.

So, he left it alone. cie la vie as they said in Lumiose City.

"Our flyers have to take down theirs." The pokémon couldn't exactly hear them from down here so they had Tsukuyomi on standby to transmit Game and Kingsman's orders via good old fashioned psychic-type telepathy.

As the two 'flocks' went head to head in the first wave Salamence heated up Steelix with a jet-stream of fire.

Oh okay he was getting this better now, though even if a bit confused with the formation. He's finally getting a bit more used to the fire attacks now seeing what he was. Though since this was a sky battle and even with the Kadabra there Razz looks to Salem. "Wanna?" he offers the cat who looks excited and calls out an attack. [break][break]

As ordered Raichu uses THUNDERBOLT on the Togekiss.

Swinging back around the flocks charged each other once again. This time his Gyarados firing a unrestrained HYPER BEAM at the Steelix back at the font of the opposing formation. "Buy me some time." he spoke to Razz. "Rotate left."

Putting Hiei, the Salamence back in front he used his time to augment the team speed before being rotated out again. Their four flyers took a new formation with one of Razz' pokemon in front. Gyarados needed to recharge and Salamence spent his turn on a boost.

It was on Razz to attack for now but they seemed to be hitting their stride. "You think we got this?"

Razz carefully watches the battle but doesn't say much, as he gave control over to the Meowstic for battle. And he trusted the cat enough for this. As well as the older ranger to keep them in a good spot. The Raichu ends up using a LIGHT SCREEN as they end up rotating while Salem calls for Link to use SPIRIT SHACKLE. Make it impossible for them to move well and get in some damage. [break][break]

"I don't think these trainers are as experience as we are," he admits not seeming to care that he's insulted the others. "We'll be fine"

Both of his pokémon being fainted and Razz having to save the day.
