priam falls silent for a second.

as much as lulu wanted to differ away from it as soon as possible, priam remains fixated with the topic for a moment since it's one of the few times he can flex with the connections he has made.

"i can try to find out if it bothers you a lot," he brings up to lulu. "could cost a lot though! i doubt it's going to be worth it, but well," he shrugs and exhales, "i don't really know the value of these things."

it was just an offer though.

he's not much of an information broker, but he's learned some of the trade from hanging around the people of marcel maeda's field. connections were the biggest part of it, and priam has one with a person inside.

casually, he answers lulu's question.

"usually favors. sometimes information of the same relevance. sometimes it's a scam so it's just a cost without any actual payment. money's not that important of a commodity nowadays for the big stuff like that."

seeing as lulu seemed to talk about the information FERNANDO SILPH has to be a big deal, priam tries to lighten up the tone of his statement to not sound as bleak as this supposed trade can be.

"i'll barter a good price though! i'm good at that-- like, really good!"

he chuckles, and then shoots down the subject in case lulu doesn't want to pursue it further.

"don't worry about it for now though! i'm not even sure if my friend can even get something for us! hehe..."

lulu eyed him a moment. his first-hand look at league science wasn’t something she’d spent much time thinking about, but now, she saw the massive advantage she might have, knowing she could ask for information directly. it wasn’t something she’d felt the comfort to do previously.

”well,” she said, ”do let me know, and i’ll do what i can do help.”

she continued on the parts, though her mind was now elsewhere.

”it’s very important.” she added. then, ”just to be sure, priam, you don’t mean to offer information about what we do here, correct?”

it was counterintuitive to give up something of similar essence to what they would've wanted.

"besides, i'm just an assistant that knows very little about the complicated stuff! that stuff's what they want! no one would expect me to know anything about thingamabobs in the lab!"

he didn't even know the name of the alloy he had worked developing with with the previous rocket boss.

"but yeah, this is still a big maybe. i'll let ya know if i actually got something!"

lulu didn’t believe at this point that priam was as clueless as he said he was. somehow, shockingly, this didn’t make her suspicious.

”thingamabobs. right.”

this would be the first of more requests to come. exodus would progress while other needs for intel came to light.

she nodded.
