There! A Furfrou! Michi focused in on the frolicking poodle, hungry for the attention and admiration it would provide her at the dog park. 

Quickly, Michi took out a Pokeball and wound back her arm, ready to throw it at the wild dog. Unfortunately, at that moment she let go, a burning Minior fell from the outer atmosphere, destroying the Furfrou instantly. 

"Nooooo!"

Her Pokeball flew up and over the smoking crater, bopping a passing Meowth instead. Michi wrung her hands at her failure. At least Meowth was a little fashionable as a pet... 

No! I can do better! I will get a Furfrou!

There! Another Furfrou! Michi focused in on this new frolicking poodle, hungry for the attention and admiration it would provide her at the dog park. 

...She got a strange feeling of Deja Vu, but tried to ignore it as she sighted down her arm like the barrel of a rifle. She even looked up this time to make sure no stray meteorites were on their way. 

"Furfrou! I catch you!" Michiko cried, throwing the Safari Ball at the wild dog. It was no impeccably-groomed puppy from the pet store, but it also wasn't the $300 pokedollars that her husband would eventually question her about if it went missing from their bank account every month.

The Safari ball hit the Furfrou without interference, sucking the startled poodle inside-- meteor-free!

Celebrating her success, Michiko broke from cover (she had been hiding behind the Safari Warden's office) and hustled over to collect her precious new Furfrou's Pokeball. Lu~cky~!

As she neared the ball, however, a familiar bark came from behind her and she turned her head to see her Electrike, Thor, bound past her and race towards the Pokeball. The unwanted pet's eyes were fixed on the prize as he drooled excitedly.

"No!" Michi cried, but even at her top Michi Racing speed, she was no match for a four-legged animal. Thor scooped up the capsule in his mouth and came loping back, tail wiggling happily. 

He dropped it at her feet, where it rolled, drool-covered, in the dirt. Michi's face was unreadable.

After cleaning off the drool-covered Pokeball, Michi decided to take a break from Furfrou-catching. She sat on a park bench, dreaming of all the different hairstyles she could try on her new Furfrou. 

She reached into the bag of cotton candy she'd bought and stopped short. Her hands had encountered the sticky, candy-floss pelt of a Swirlix. Michi knew it by feel because she used to keep Slurpi in her purse.

I have been missing having Swirlix, she thought, brightening. As cute as Slurpi was as a chocolate pudding, she missed when he was a pink purse-sized fluffball. Perhaps she would take this new Swirlix home! It seemed happy in the cotton candy bag, anyway. 

Happy with her new poodle (though part of her wondered how easy it would be to change a wild Safari Furfrou into a tame little Sakura), Michi was on her way towards the exit when something golden caught her eye.

At first, she assumed it was just another meteorite falling towards earth, and took a protective stance to shield her Furfrou's Pokeball. But it landed on four little paws and gave a loud, triumphant meow.

Michi usually shied away from electric-type Pokemon, but this Shinx was too yellow, adorable, and rare for her to say no to. She captured it with a cry of delight and ran out of the Safari Zone.

Not too long afterwards, she opened her eyes and found herself back in her bedroom, staring up at the ceiling. She sat up, blinking. "Oh, it was all a dream," Michi sighed, relaxing. That did explain the excessive number of meteorites. 

Miraculously, she would visit the Safari Zone the next day and have a much more normal experience, albeit one where she somehow caught the exact same Pokemon.

Perhaps with Natu always sleeping in her hair, she had a touch of Future Sight!
