A cat? Awh, how adorable! Though the Meowth is by no means a Luxray, Eris sure does take after her adoptive father when it comes to these precious felines. Kneeling down, she begins to make 'pspspspsps' noises, catching the Meowth's attention with a feather on a stick and laughing when it practically leaps at her. By her side, Reiner watches the feather intently, taking every bit of his will to resist the urge to pounce at it.

Do Swirlix count as cats or dogs? They're pretty much round furballs... so does it matter what they're categorised as? Maybe? Maybe not? She doesn't know the answer so she won't hover on it for too long!

Just as the Swirlix begins to reach for the bone-shaped snack, a howl rings through the endless woods around them. As the foliage begins to rustle, Eris instinctively reaches out to pull the puppy-kitten (or is it a kitten-puppy?) closer to her. In turn, Reiner prowls with claws outstretched, placing himself between the threat and his ward.

Electricity coats his mane, crackling through the air as he lets out a howl of his own. When the bushes continue to rustle, the air begins to singe, a Rising Voltage peeling off the Luxray as he stalks towards his prey. And in one fell swoop, he strikes, batting the culprit up into the air and snatching it within his maws.

For a moment, he almost sinks his teeth deep into flesh but a quiet whimper brings him back. Realising his mistake, he walks over, dropping the Electrike before her and awaiting her judgement. As expected, Eris takes a pokeball and readily taps it against the wild pokemon's head. They'll have to bring it to a veterinarian earlier.
