Running a business is a delicate balance of risk and reward. If one wants to play it safe, it is possible to survive such cutthroat industry with ease. But if one wants to thrive, to grow, to become unfathomably rich, then one must gamble with their resources. If one wishes to gain, one must understand the possibility of loss. That is universal.[break][break]

Take, for instance, a fashion brand. A small fish in the big pond of Unova, a shrub between great oaks. Survival would be to hunker down, grow a loyalty customer base within the homeland, and claw out moderate profits. To thrive? One must change their thinking, change their location. Move to another region, one less competitive, one rich with potential. Become the big fish in the small pond, and attain dominance over the market.[break][break]

Easier said than done.[break][break]

So, how to do it? Money and manpower alike are both valuable but limited, and a traditional expansion requires much of both. Then, what about an untraditional one? Viral marketing is all the rage these days, after all. Take a single person, arm them with a few Pokemon and slim funding, then send them to attain fame and glory as a Pokemon Trainer. Risk of failure is high, but when success required such little investment and paid out such great dividends? Surely, it was worth a shot?[break][break]

All it took was the right person. A child of the company head, one that was both symbolically relevant, business minded, but whose absence would not be missed. Neither the youngest nor the oldest child, but the middle one. One who never enjoyed great love, nor great attention. One dissatisfied with their circumstances, seeking to prove themselves as worthy. One who wished to stand on top of the world and revel in their absolute victory.[break][break]

Doing it? Well, that was a different matter altogether...
