He joined an organisation for the danger and thrills, but instead, he’s surrounded by fluffy Wooloos rolling around in grass. Benjamin hadn’t seen the point of coming here, however, it was one of the few missions he was able to get. His Aunt had lectured him in saying it was best if he took up jobs so it wouldn’t look like he was lounging at Headquarters, without the care or worry about money. But leaning against a fencepost and hearing the same consistent ‘baa-ing’ would have him rather take the suspicions.

Brute was having fun, at least. He assumed his Rockruff was all he needed to protect the Wooloos from the Caterpies or whatever the Hell the farm owners considered a threat.

”You better be a hunter trying to catch these little shits,” he murmured, feeling the presence of another person behind him. He kept his head down with a groan, strands of black hair trickling down his face. ”Because if ya not, ya ain’t missin’ much. And i’m 'bout to hunt them myself out of boredom.” He wasn’t really, but Arceus, was he going to get assigned to smell the roses at the Flower shop after this?

The road paved for greater things always starts with narrow alleys. This is the narrowest alley she has to go through, and yet it is the other person that is suffering the most.

The first thing on her checklist is to regain contacts she has made for the past couple of months. There is no better place to start than in Hayden Marcel's colleagues, one who particularly owns a herd of wooloos and needs people to run some errands for his barn.

“The first time I'm requested to oversee the livestocks, aliens came. Don't worry, unexpected things may turn if you are patient.”

Selena smiles and nods, acknowledging his welcome as she moves closer to the fences with Raijin tailing on her side.

Benji’s head quickly propped up.

It was a chick.

”Aliens?” He asked, interested in a way that had a doubt, though still was curious. ”Well, damn. I’m just so bored I might believe ya.” While they were talking, his Rockruff noticed the other canine, steering away from the grassy fields and towards the conversation. A large ’yarp!’ made Benji flinch, like he expected the other woman’s remark to suddenly be truth, stuttering a ”Wait, we really gonna see some aliens here?! Where are they? What d’they look like?!” before embarrassment washed over his face.

”Brute, ya damn mutt,” he slumped his shoulders down. Brute, on the other hand, kept barking happily; eager to make friends with the new companion. Benjamin never thought of bringing his Rockruff to missions or even exposing him to many battles, he was too young and hardly a fighter. But this would be a good experience. Even if nothing particularly was happening (yet).

The rockruff is mostly lucky since Raijin is the type to actually want to make friends with strangers. The electric hound returns the enthusiastic barking and saunters to its behind, trying to get to know the other trainer's dog before it begins to play with it. Selena, on the other hand, is to be entertained by another good boy for her mission.

“Chill! I think we're good since aliens are so past season.”

Selena is referring to the Megalopolan invasion, which is a totally different story from when she defended the herd of miltank from beheeyems. In her logic, they are both aliens anyway.

“I think the most lucky we can get is to fend off a pack of mightyenas trying to prey on these poor woolos. We can manage that.”

She responds with a curious grin.
