Much like his companion, Mint had gone through the trouble of attempting to blend in with the rest of the casino workers. He’d donned the outfit, pressed and wrinkle free. He’s done up his face, a bit of countering for more pronounce cheek bones, a thinner, nose as well. He’d selected a set of hazel contacts and well brushed wig he’d taken paints to set and glue and style. A smidgen of blush, some freckles, mascara and done. Just some other, any ole young adult working a job that definitely didn’t pay them enough to deal wit this shit. [break][break]

He stood like he belonged, a little tired but that was all an act. Oblivious, distracted, normal. He barely cracked a smile as his partner arrived. A little less effort but with any luck they’d be fine without heavy disguises. “Evenin’~” he greeted, happy to have at least met Elliott in their mission briefing. “You’re fine. I just got here myself a few minutes ago.” He said as he gave a look around the establishment. The place was pretty packed tonight. The entertainment for the evening had brought in a lot of customers, the performer had quite the reputation he imagined. Most of the security in the place had been moved over to protect the stage leaving most area light or even unattended. [break][break]

“Ready to start our shift? We’re gonna be laate~” There’s some remote cheers at the roulette table and Mint offered a nod to his blonde companion before heading over to see what all the fuck was about. No doubt, someone was scoring big or showing off hella cash. A Mareep treds lightly after him glancing up curiously at Elliot and wagging their tail at the younger Rocket, before prancing after their trainer.

Mint nodded in approval not expecting the lip gloss, but then he remembered a couple of photos Elliot had shown him in order to prove himself a model. Ironically, a more professional model than Mint really. Mint didn’t attend fancy photoshoots or worked for brands. He went outside in clothes he’d bought himself and posed with a phone taking time photos to be edited later. He followed the grunt’s lead taking a tray of goodies as well and carefully emptying it out on distracted patrons as he made his way to the roulette table.[break][break]

As Elliot picked his mark, Mint bent over the table leaning in close to their target and setting down the last of his snack foods. He tucked his silver tray under his arm and smiled as he eyes the chips on the table and then the man between them. “Oooh, Mister High Roller~” Mint cooed, following along. His tone was a little dreamy, a tad sleepy, and he looked calm for the most part but with a glint of interest. His shoulder is already warm from the bit of contact they had with their patron. His little Mareep is at his feet looking about expectantly before beginning to scamper away, keeping watch of his trainer but ready to act on his instructions. [break][break]

He giggled at the compliment, conjuring up the thought of his crush to make himself blush. He would rather be out with a cute boy than doing this, but they all had to pay their dues to Rocket somehow. “Well…I have heard I am pretty rabbit-like~” Another blush rises to his cheeks, natural this time. Sweet talking as a face was a little different to polite conversation back at home, but he felt it was good enough foundation to make the con work. Hazel eyes momentarily flick towards their target before at Elliot and then to the rest of the table. Tensions already seemed to be high. Maybe they weren’t the only shady customers here. Perfect.

Mint tried not to shiver at the way their target looked at him, and simply focused on keeping the ruse going. “Oh? Then I’ll make sure to blood on your dice, tonight~” he said with another laugh. As Elliot took over, and the other customers seemed preoccupied with their own conversations amongst the rest of the waitstaff, Mint imitated a trick Elliot had helped him practice at their brief. He raised a hand, reaching over for their customer’s empty glass and swiped some of the winner’s chips, easily pocketing them into his sleeve without much of a fuss. The chips clicked a little but with the rest of the noise in the casino it was inaudible. “Oooh~ I like that idea Shamrock~” he said tilting back the almost empty glass and drinking whatever swill left in it. It was bitter and it made him shiver. [break][break]

He looked back at the two, licking his lips and tilting the glass in a cheers motion. “I can get you a refill, and you can join us when you’re tired of playing here.” He added trying very hard to think of something horrible and not embarrassing to keep himself from blushing at Elliot’s remarks. It seemed however, this plus the alcohol was enough to convince their idiot player, who laughed loudly and snaked his hands around both their waists, tugging them closer to him. He was trying to stay cool, but Mint could tell he was just as embarrassed by their words as Mint was. [break][break]

“W-What a great idea, boys!” he said giving them both a light squeeze. Mint resisted the urge to yelp. “Let me play a couple of rounds and I’ll catch up!” With the okay given, Mint lifted his silver platter and picked up a majority of the chips before leaving the man a little bit to bet with. With a wink and a cute pose, he was already assuring the man that his winnings were safe with them. The little Mareep that had been on standby watched patiently before seeing Mint give him a little signal with his hand to start moving towards the generators, ready to short circuit it. “C’mon Shamrock. Let’s let the good man work.”

This was exactly the kind of stuff he’d avoided in his own life, but he couldn’t have thought of any other way to play this game with Elliot. Maybe that was something to consider in the future. Other ways to get what he wanted without deferring to the honey pot immediately. Once they were a safe enough distance away, Mint allowed himself to shiver. “Yeah…I need a shower.” He said, his hips still burning where he’d been forced to touch the greasy gambler. “Zucchero’s on the move, we need to set up too.” His Mareep would be find, cute enough to look like a pokemon that was all too innocent. He’d make it out and he’d find Mint. And if he didn’t….well Mint didn’t think about that. He didn’t want to lose the sheep but…he wasn’t going to come back for it in the middle of a heist. Zucchero would make it find on his own back to the local pokemon center and wait. [break][break]

For him part, the lucky twins would make their way to the safe. Or at least, stand by near it. He checked his watch. “About time you relieved that cashier, right? Shamrock” He said, teasing the younger grunt. He couldn’t help it. Cute names and all. His eyes moved towards the current woman paying out people’s cash for chips. The safe wasn’t visible form the floor but they knew well enough where it was. With any luck, they’d be able to get in the safe and then exchange the chips at a later date for double the payout. As the pair got in position the Mareep made his merry way unhindered and unnoticed to the back room, tottering eagerly towards the generators and beginning to wait. The Mareep would hope a few times, as instructed before letting out a massive discharge of electric energy, surging the generators and then moving over to fry the backups. Within minutes, the casino blacked out, and panic ensued. Mint, meanwhile, simply reached for a pair of glasses. With the press of a button, the frames activated giving the world a green tint.

The grunt only snickered in response to being told and flipped off. Elliott was on the move and that’s he needed anyway. After all, they were both getting a huge cut out of this too. The more efficient they were, the bigger the payout for them in the long run. He can see security all moving towards the backstage to protect the VIP guest for tonight, but in the darkness, he can also see security breaking off to move towards the safe. So, someone actually had critical thinking skills. He wondered if they’d tried the generators yet. He can see Zucchero moving a little faster than usual and doing his best not to shed any light. As the sheep made its way to the collection point, his earpiece whispered his partner’s words. “Securing exit, moving in for transfer.” [break][break]

And by that he simply meant clearing the way. There’s a simple employees exit they could shuffle through near the safe. And form there on in the darkness, all the way to the back of the casino, and a sewer grate. A little dirty, and a little cumbersome but the sewers were a reliable exit strategy. Zucchero wobbled bumping against the walls and furniture. As his trainer moved in to unlock their exit, the Mareep shocked and cried, paralyzing and electrocuting passerbys, some guards thankfully. Panicked screams are joined by pained screams of agony as some of the other pokemon in the casino began to act up from the chaos. [break][break]

Any calm that had been guaranteed by the staff quickly went away as panic crescendoed. Mint watched multiple people run and limp blindly past him, everyone headed for the main exit, still glowing with its emergency lights. The doors swing open easily and he has no trouble finding something to prop them open. At that point he’s already moving back and in the darkness, he has no trouble at all spotting security blindly trying to move through. OR more so, they’d resorted to phone flashlights. It’s almost blinding, and Mint briefly removed his glasses long enough to shove one person aside. He heard a pained grunt and the sound of something hitting a table but didn’t stick around to see if they’d passed our or died. Zucchero waited patiently by the exit doors while Mint met up with his comrade. “I think most of the guests have moved or begun moving outside, security is starting to move back here to hold it down.” He said, backed up only by the pinpoints of light he had to turn away form before it blinded him completely. “Night vision is about to be useless if we look at that directly, Shammy.” He added noting that the lights weren’t as erratic as before but now moving slowly and steadily, like pulling a perimeter guard.

Mint nodded, noting Elliott was probably about to be weighed down, and they’d need to move quickly with this much on hand cash. The employee only doors led into maintenance halls and Mint stumbled into the darkness occasionally bringing up his glasses to get a look at his surroundings. Dollie…dollie…there had to one around here somewhere. After a few minutes of fumbling through the darkness, he stumbled across a parked one. It was a little angled and he figured someone had probably bumped into it while making a break for the exit. He didn’t blame them. [break][break]

He grabbed it, rolling as quickly as he could back to rendezvous with Elliott. “My prince, I have retrieved your noble steed.” He said as he donned his glasses again and closed the doors behind his comrade. Zucchero baa’d gently to greet Hestia and Enya happy to have done his job well. But its not over yet. “Out these halls, to the sewers.” He repeated like a mantra to the blonde, though Elliott was already aware. “I can take point. Zucchero can neutralize most people pretty quickly with his static.” He offered, as the little sheep hopped in front of the group and began trudging along confidently. “Besides, need someone big and strong to push all this cash out, right~” Although he meant it as a compliment it was clear the grunt was just trying to get out of doing any f the heavy lifting. He smiled and gave the model a little finger wave before joining his sheep at the front and beginning to listen for any more guards or staff. “Swapping to infrared.” He whispered as he pressed a little button on his glasses.

“Oh, you know, just a little bit of fairy tale nostalgia to ease the nerves~” Mint explained gently, relying more on their comms than being loud as they paced through the darkness. Zucchero occasionally paused, hearing stray faraway footsteps of stragglers rushing out to get through the maintenance exits before continuing. [break][break]

“You could always tell me what to do, you know.” He returned with a small shrug. It wasn’t like he was Elliott’s superior or anything. They were both grunts as far as he could tell. “I don’t mind when other guys take the lead.” He added with a small laugh as they rounded the corner. Zucchero went first baaing quietly as he bumped into a straggler security guard. There was a sharp yowl and the light of an electrical attack before the Mareep baa’d again. “Whoops. Almost there I guess.” He said beginning to pick up the pace as they got closer. [break][break]

He sped up. Sending his partner further and further up ahead until they made it to the faintly growing red exit sign. “A moment, my liege.” He said bowing at the blonde before quietly opening the heavy door and peering out into the alleyway. He could hear the noise and the crowd, but they were far away. “Clear.” Without a word Mint moved forward and pulled up the sewer lid, grimacing for a moment at the smell before returning Zucchero to his ball. As expected, a little cart was set up to speed up movement through the sewers. He gave Elliott a thumbs up and got onto the ladder before turning to his partner. “I’ll set up so you can just drop the packages in. Don’t keep me waiting Prince Shamrock~” he said blowing a kiss and winking at the other grunt before sliding down into the darkness. The only sign he hadn’t fallen into other slurry in the sewers the faint laughing that echoed out of the hole.
