The Steenee's angry chittering quickly catches Luka's attention— there's an urgency to it, and an irritation unusual for the grass type. A quick peek around the berry bushes she's pruning reveals the culprit, a tiny spider trying to steal some of her harvest early.[break][break]
"O-oh, gosh..." Frankly, Luka isn't all that fond of bugs. But her heart lurches for the hungry little thing regardless.[break][break]
"Hey...come here! You can't eat those, but I have something else for you." From her bag she produces a few snacks for the Dewpider, who quickly abandons the attempt to snarf down her berries. A few colorful pokebeans are happily wolfed down, and with the promise of more the Dewpider even helps Luka to finish watering her crops![break][break]

Today, Luka is gardening.[break][break]

It's nice. It's just her, her pokemon, and an expanse of dirt and budding blossoms.[break][break]

With everything going on, sometimes it's nice to let everything go for an afternoon. Hands sink into cool soil and she can feel life underneath it, roots and insects and flowing water. Everything connected.[break][break]

It's the little moments like these that make her remember what's at stake, and what she's fighting for. A small plot of earth, a moment of peace. That's all one really needs, isn't it? These are the moments that need protecting more than anything else.[break][break]

Luka basks for a moment under the late afternoon sun, surrounded by her cute grass Pokemon and budding seedlings, the promise of new life. She wants to cherish it all properly, and sometimes that just requires a moment of contemplation and appreciation.[break][break]
