There’s a drop in the music, and with it comes a dip, no resistance being offered in response to the motion.

It’s not accusatory, but there’s a smirk.

And, sure enough, when he brings her back up, if only briefly, she steps on his foot with her heel.

he did, because he's experienced it firsthand, but again, it's not like he particularly minds.

"my poor foot..."

smiling, he follows after her, led by his hand toward where tables are set up off to the side. he expects they'll end up at one of the quieter ones, maybe off in the corner, so he makes sure to grab a couple of drinks and a plate of food for them on his way.

it doesn't sound like a joke but it never does, so he doesn't think much of it.
