As soon as Luka heard that Mareep were frequenting the Safari Zone, she had booked herself a ticket before one could even blink. The other Pokemon are all charming as well, but she has her heart set on coming home with a fluffy little sheep in her arms...a shiny one, if she's lucky![break][break]Sugar trots by her side as they begin the search, but seems none too happy by the topic of conversation. Who cares about a pink sheep...she's far cuter, in her opinion.

Well, it's not a Mareep. But it is a perfectly adorable pink baby, and Luka figures that her Clefable might like a new companion. The Clefairy is hopping around and dancing by itself in a glade, and Luka quietly sends out Cupcake to join her. Though her Clefable is a bit shy two seem to hit it off wonderfully- soon they're dancing together and chattering happily while Luka watches.[break][break]
Eventually she makes her presence known. The Clefairy looks a bit startled but seems to quickly accept once she understands what's going on, and a Safari ball is presented shortly afterwards.[break][break]

After walking around the Safari zone a little more, Luka decides to take a quick break with Cupcake and relax. The two of them sprawl out on the grass, eating snacks and watching the clouds. Attracted by the food, a Trubbish arrives looking for scraps which are happily passed out. But unlike with the Clefairy, Cupcake is shyer around this Pokemon, more closed off and less willing to approach.[break][break]

Eventually the Trubbish leaves, and Luka lets her go. They still haven't seen any sheep, and she doesn't want to use up all of her balls too fast!

A sheep! This is what she's been waiting for![break][break]It's not pink, but Luka isn't that picky. She approaches the fluffy sweetie with a wide and friendly smile, holding out a berry to tempt it. And it works- until a rustling nearby announces whatever new Pokemon will come next, and scares the poor Mareep off.

Oh, this little fish is a darling![break][break]She only has three Pokeballs though. What to do...she'd like to save one for the pink sheep of her dreams, but honestly, what are the chances? She doesn't know yet that Martín del Mar has already caught one for her. [break][break] So thanks to a bit of metagaming she decides to go for it! After sitting at the water's edge for a while Luka gains the trust of the cute fishy, and lobs her second safari ball at it soon after.

After catching Finneon, Luka decides to stay by the water for a bit. She dips her feet in while Cupcake splashes around in the shallows, kicking up water and giggling as the droplets rain down around them. They catch the sunlight on their way, glittering like diamonds all around the pair.[break][break]Unfortunately, Cupcake isn't paying attention to where she's splashing. And so a poor Hoothoot stopping by for a drink gets caught in the crossfire, and quickly flies away again in a rustle of feathers and loud, angry hoots.

Another Pokemon is drawn to all the splashing and commotion at the waters edge. This time though, Luka stops her Clefable before she can scare the poor thing away! A shy Teddiursa pokes his head out of a bush, snacking on some honey stuck to his paw. It's a ridiculously cute sight, and Luka beckons him over to the water so he can clean himself off.[break][break]It dissolves into more playtime with Clefable, the two of them chasing each other about and splashing each other. Even Luka gets caught in the crossfire, and joins into the play with a gleeful laugh. Time passes quickly- eventually, the afternoon wears on and evening begins to descend.[break][break]It's time to go home. Even though she hadn't caught a shiny Mareep, Luka's still happy with the events of the day. In her hand rests her last safari ball- inside is the darling Teddiursa who she doesn't want to be separated from.
