The Inkay bops along through the air, and when Cian raises a hand to greet it, it does no more than extend one of its little tentacles – poking Cian’s finger with the very tip of it. Does that count as a high five? Probably not, but it seems quite pleased with itself, which is perhaps proven by the way it twirls yet again.

It’s adorable, but while Mars thinks it, he doesn’t say as much. Instead, his thoughts remain on the Castform:

It would have been ideal if they could have just kept searching for Cian Junior while ignoring all wild pokémon nearby, but sadly, some of said wild pokémon seemed to have other plans:

It was a METAL CLAW that cut right through one of the trees right next to them, and Mars found himself taking Cian’s hand and pulling him away from it as it fell.

”What the hell. You okay?”

Not a word needed to be said to the little Inkay for it to know what to do. Its SWAGGER lured the Metang away from them, and then, without wasting a single second, FOUL PLAY made use of its sudden increase in attack power against it.

Just like that, the Metang fainted, and a pokéball was thrown.

before he knew it, he was tugged in a random direction.

what the fuck was going on?

his attention was pulled away to another wild pokemon that approached. his hand slapped against his belt, calling out his probopass before he pointed to the stufful.

"get that pink shit."

no offense.

after LOCKING-ON, probopass' ZAP CANNON stuns it in place, making it too easy for cian to just throw a pokeball over at it.

There’s something adorable about seeing Cian talking to the Helioptile and offering it a cookie, and for a second, despite everything that’s happening and despite his own concern over their sweet little Castform, Mars allows himself a small smile.

Mostly because something shifts around them, and familiar with Psychic pokémon as he is, it’s all too easy to recognize the effects of MAGIC ROOM.
