The safari zone would always provide. It doesn’t take much to stumble upon a pale pink looking creature. She stood out against the dark, more natural greens and browns of the forest area. He can’t help but think the pokemon is singing as he listened to her croon something unintelligible. Mint quick draws a pokeball, chucking it the Clefairy, grinning brightly. “I can’t wait to show this to luka chêne”

While Mint had more or less specialized with ice types before Hoenn, he'd grown to look after a strange assortment of pokemon while he lived in the hotter region. Mainly...cute things. He said it was for breeding pokemon for Rocket...but really he just delighted in adding more baby pokemon to the daycare play pen. Getting pilled on by a group of rowdy, fluffy pokemon was the best therapy. And unfortunately, the only one he could afford right now. If his home was bigger he would've let more of his pokemon roam around too but... There wasn't a whole lot of space in his apartment either. Once again, Mint is distressed by the fact that he had so little disposable income. Running away really came with its cons but...at least he wasn't homeless. And he had friends. There's a distressed BAA! as Mint distractedly nudged one off the path with his leg. Though its too slow to really do anything more than stumble to the side and yell at him. "Oh-! Oh no, sweetie, no it's ok!" he said as the Mareep looked up at him about to start wailing. you'd think he'd shoved it into mud or something. "Here, taste this." he offered as he pulled out a treat and unwrapped it in this hand. He knelt down to offer it and after a bit of staring the sheep took it from him. "Right then, we're square r-" It's jsut then that the little electric type headbutt one of his pokeballs, disappearing in a flash. "OH! OK???"

Mint stood quietly with his freshly used safari ball before letting out a squeal. That Mareep was so fluffy!! He couldn't wait to take it home and give it a good brushing. Maybe it'd be twice as fluffy with the wool all combed out. He didn't know what he was gonna do with all these little guys and gals, but he couldn't stop himself from chucking pokeballs at them. As he's lost in his thoughts an owl swooped form the trees at him stealing a clawful of treats. He let out a yelp before looking up at it as it pecked on its loot before whining at it. "You could've asked, you know?!" The Hoothoot seemed unaffected, too busy eating her treats. "Anymore of those and you won't be able to fly!" Mint added, noting how spherical the pokemon already was. They were kind of cute. He wanted to pet her, but she'd probably fly away. "Dodge this!" he warned chucking a safari ball at the flying type. At the very least if he didn't keep her, he'd find something to do with her.

At this point, Mint is just gathering the first thing he sees. In the past few minutes His pattern is set. He likes cute things. and he noticed. He being a little Teddiursa staring at him while looking up at the Rocket form behind a tree. The smell of a pokesnack luring the little bear out of hiding. His fat tail jiggled as he delicately stepped forward, slowly inching closer to Mint, while the trainer slowly made his way to continue. But the normal type is quick to jog up to him, purposefully bumping into the boy’s leg and staring up at him. Once they lock eyes, the Teddiursa fell back on his butt, and slowly big, Fake Tears began to well up in his eyes. It looks ready to wail as Mint panicked. Yes. Bring on the treats. As the bear opened his mouth to let out a scream, something bops him in the nose. Something hard and round and green. Mint had panicked, ok? The minute that little bear had sat down to cry, he’d dropped the last of his pokeballs on it to prevent it. In a flash of like the little shit is gone and all is quiet again. “Well, guess that’s that.” He said to himself as he picked up the still ball.
