Saunas are apparently great for your health. Something about the heat and increased circulation and temperature stress and sweating. The paper was long, she skimmed it. The gist of what she needed to know was in the abstract. Having never tried a steam room, Eva takes advantage of the several erected for the increased flood to the resort.

✦ WELCOME TO MY WUNDERKAMMER

The headache has been haunting the older woman for a while now as she has reached the dead-end of her research. Research that she is afraid no one is brave enough to tackle the topic and at some point, she even starts to doubt the possibility behind it. The researches appear from a curiosity that stemmed out from Human history and trying to forcibly branch it out to the Pokemon without knowing the possibility behind it. With that said, she decides to change of scenery and goes north from her apartment and visit the sauna on Lavaridge.

As she takes seated bathing in the heat of the sauna, another person comes and Kano widened her eyes with surprise. Kano often follows whatever is happening within the science front within the Hoenn Region and this person that just comes in is part of the "happening". It was no other than Dr. Eva, the Head Professor of League. Despite Kano stands in the opposite of League, Kano can't help herself to pay respect to the woman. "No, there is no one here." Kano answers with a smirk, "If my memory didn't fail me after a long research, you are Dr. Eva aren't you?"

Eva’s question is answered with sarcasm. The joke makes her laugh before casting a bright smile through the steam. She follows the voice and her emerald eyes settle on the silhouette of Dr. Kano.

“Oh! Uhhh? Hi! Yeah, that’s me!” she steps closer, kano’s features becoming more clear. Unfortunately, Eva didn’t recognize her. There’s a twinge of guilt that rises in her chest. Should she? ”And you are . . .?”

A visibly confused look can be seen from Eva's face as she mans upon not knowing who she is, Kano moves slightly and settles down after finding a non-existent perfect spot that eventually will get changed in the future but for now, it will remain as the perfect spot. Kano clears her throat for a moment and starts to talk, "It is not surprising for you do not know me so don't feel bad about it. I would probably be on guard if you somehow know me right away. I am Dr. Kano Iyona, a specialist in Biology and Biotechnology while also dabbling in the study of medical science" Kano introduces herself fluently. "But you can just call me Dr. Kano." “Ok, phew!” Eva sighs in relief, stepping closer to sit beside the woman she’s conversing with, “Sometimes I get real nervous when I think I’m supposed to know someone then I don’t . . . normally I’m pretty good with names,” she leans back to settle comfortably against the warm wood. Eva’s smile brightens while Dr. Kano describes her primary areas of work, “Wow! You sound super interesting! Biotechnology – that’s unique,” In all honesty, Eva is terrible at the technology part. She’s been working on F.E.M.A for what seems like almost a year. She just can’t get the ‘technology’ part down, “Where do you work?” Probably for Silph. FERNANDO SILPH seemed to be snapping up good scientists left and right.

"Tell me about it" Kano trails off for a moment after listening to what Eva has to say about recognizing someone but she quickly changes her expression into a smirk, "Not like I have experienced that kind of situation. Unfortunately, within the scientific community, I am still relatively unknown - As good as a newcomer despite I have been holing down to my own cave researching something that hasn't been fruitful so far" Kano let out a bitter laugh. "Currently?" Kano raised an eyebrow over the question of where she is working right now. "I guess you could say that I am an independent right now" Kano shrugs while telling a lie without batting an eye. "Probably need to find a part-time gig sooner or later, the equipment is not cheap like at all" [break][break]

Eva glances over in surprise, “Independent?!” she asks with an inflexion in her tone. That’s quite brave. Well, quite difficult. Eva knows the importance of good support when it comes to the sciences, “Wow, that must be difficult,” Eva admits, agreeing with Kano’s assessment, “Any fun, earth-shattering projects?”

"What? Never see an independent scientist before?" Kano raised an eyebrow far from being hurt, instead, she is curious about how many are brave enough to pave this path without any backing. Well, Kano is not really without any backing since she is part of the Team Rocket - But her rank there is still so low where it might as well that her research has no backer yet, at least on the financial front. "Tell me about it." Kano rolls her eye when dr Eva mentions the difficulties. Then glance to Eva while raising an eyebrow, "Fun? yes. Earth shattering? Hard to say. There are many theories says that human is the descendant of a monkey through many processes of evolution but have you ever wonder - From where does Pokemon come from? I might have the very first hypothesis about it right now on where I can start to research about it" Kano tells the project that she is pursuing right now while leaving the detail about what hypothesis that she creates. It is too soon for her to publicize it - Not only that, there is a risk that dr. Eva steals this project. [break][break]

“Oh no, no, no,” Eva shakes her head, a bit flustered perhaps at misspeaking, “I’ve definitely seen independent scientists it’s just . . . rare, I guess?” everything needed money, and scientists rarely found themselves in a position in which they could fund their own research.

"Hmm, sounds like a very interesting project, I look forward to reading about it!” The doctor refrains from prying. She understand show delicate the subject can be, especially if struggling to solidify results like she is. Months of research still leading to “I don’t know” is certainly discouraging.
