Because, yes, the grand majority of Vic’s pokémon are indeed named, since his days of catching absurd amounts of them are long gone now. Hell, they were long gone before he even moved to Hoenn.

Perhaps that’s part of why he’s so selective about his captures, and why he doesn’t even bother with disturbing the Gothorita that passes by, carrying a whole bunch of colourful apricorns in her arms. Where did she even find those? Is she taking them to her hiding spot?

again, it's his jolteon that handles the wild encounter as it quickly handles the psyduck, bringing it down to its knees before a pokeball smacks against it.

surprisingly, matias doesn't have a psyduck in his collection. and to think he almost skipped it because he's lazy!

The Groudon incident had been many things: stressful, crazy, kind of terrifying yet also very exciting, and even amazing, because how often is it that someone gets to see such an incredible legendary pokémon and also travel into the past? Still, fun isn’t the first word Vic would use to describe it, and he was the one who was out there taking selfies with Groudon!

But, when his response comes, it does so with a smirk:

Meanwhile, while they’re busy reminiscing about events that only happened a couple of months ago, the Dragapult encounters a small Tyrunt, the young pokémon seeming lost and apparently deciding to follow the larger dragon back to where Vic and Matias are. Could it be because Taffy is such a caring and paternal pokémon?

Vic sure as hell can’t imagine it, because while he may not be the most active person online (mostly because he finds it all kind of boring after a few minutes), he does often post pictures and use things like those to keep up with the lives of his family and friends alike.
